Should I buy? Need a quick answer

I just saw a price drop on a 2010 g37x white, Navi, automatic 48k mileage for 17990$, one owner clean car fax and c-preowned from dealer. There is an extended warranty for 1 year by the dealer. Is this a steal? Should I get a 2011 instead?!

Seems like a fair price, sedan or coupe? Why does the car have an extended warranty on it if it's a CPO which in and of itself is an extended warranty? With any used car purchase I definitely suggest having it checked by a mechanic who specializes in Nissan/Infiniti as a condition to purchase. I don't see much of a reason to go with a '11 over a '10 besides warranty considerations and it seems like you're covered there. For comparison sake, I was looking at a 2010 Anniversary Coupe loaded w/ 50k miles for $20990, so the price does seem fair, especially if it is a CPO. If the car is a CPO and they won't budge on price, try and get them to throw in "wrap" coverage (I assume the car is at an Infiniti dealer if it's a CPO) so your electronics will be protected for the duration of your extended warranty. Good luck!

I'm sorry, Sedan. It's not an Infiniti dealer, it's certified by another dealership. They won't budge on price because they discounted it recently

The main thing I'm worried about is if there are any main difference between the 2010 , or 2011, if so what is it?

I don't believe there is anything besides maybe some slight aesthetic differences.

Only Infiniti dealerships can CPO certify an Infiniti. Any warranty you are getting is likely through a third party. Frankly that price is very low to me. I'd suggest following the advice given and have someone knowledgable perform a thorough pre purchase inspection on the car. If everything checks out and you're ok with a third party warranty, it sounds like a great price if the car is clean.

Sedans had the facelift in 2010, coupes had the facelift in 2011. By facelift I mean interior changes such as the center console design, all white gauge cluster, navigation update, front bumper (fog lights), etc.

In your case, the 2010 should satisfy your needs just fine. I am feeling extra nice so here are some pictures to fill in the blanks.

One thing that just crossed my mind... I don't think this car has premium or tech package... The rear seats doesn't say BOSE.

No Bose means it likely also won't have a moonroof, sonar, memory seating, power steering column. (Premium Package)

If it doesn't have the premium package, it cannot be fitted with either the navigation package, or the technology package.

Note: I noticed your comment on the car being "certified". As previously stated, the car cannot be Certified by an Infiniti dealership and sold elsewhere. Be cautious of predatory marketing, you see a lot of "carfax CERTIFIED", "34978234891 point Inspection CERTIFIED" nonsense that doesn't add much, if any, value to the purchase.

Oh, The dealer provided a carfax and it's clean. It has a sunroof on the pictures as well as navigation....and homelink. How would I tell if it has tech package, and is that even worth getting?

"Clean carfax" isn't worth the paper it's printed on. There are flooded cars from Sandy with "clean carfax" being sold on lots right now. Means nothing. You are asking people is it a good deal and being told to pay a pro who knows more than you do to inspect it thoroughly. Or you can trust that carfax has your back.

If it has tech pkg there's an extra button on the right steering wheel spok for the intelligent cruise. Also a cutout in the center lower grille for the sensor.

Should I back out of buying this car then? It might not have any packages except navigation

This is my main takeaway from the responses given. If you choose to do that, post up the report if you want people's evaluation of it. Without that we know nothing about the car. You don't even seem 100% sure of what options the car has.

All too often people are looking for validation of decisions they know are poor or have not been fully thought out.

OP: Do the right thing and have the car looked at and you will get the answers you are looking for.
