Having a hard time finding 6MT Coupe

I have been 'looking' at pre-owned G37 Coupes for a few months now.

It seems back when I was really just window shopping, I came across more than a few of what I am wanting to buy.

Which is a 2010 or newer, black exterior, black interior, 6MT coupe with less than 40k miles.

Now that I am ready to buy, I can't seem to find anything.

I have been using autotempist.com and cargurus.com, which are search engines that use autotrader, cars.com etc.

I have been going to Infiniti dealerships online and doing a search also.

Any advice, tips or different search methods that will help me?

I am in Las Vegas, Nevada and am will to travel up to around 200 miles for a vehicle.

Thanks for the help!

Your geographic search area is too limited to have much choice. Expand it to 300 miles and you'll include LA and Phoenix areas. Sure to have more options.

Yes, I agree. I have included Arizona and more of California as well.

The search parameters usually jump from 200 miles to 500 miles. Don't know if I'd want to go on a 500 mile wild goose chase. Wouldn't really be a big deal to drive 200-300 miles though, to see a vehicle I'm interested in.

I have had dealerships lie about the availability of vehicles before (shocker) just to get us down to the dealership. Seems to be a pretty common tactic to attract potential customers.

Btw, I have been in email contact w/ a dealer about a g37. I asked him why the vehicle is not Infinit CPO and why the price seems high. He said the vehicle has been on the lot for more than 90 days, so they removed the Infiniti CPO certification.

Hmm, so no one wants to buy the car for 3 months and instead of slashing the price, you remove the warranty? I don't get that at all.

Just search using a central LA or Phoenix zip code and limit it to 50 miles which should take in most of the surrounding metro areas.

Only an Infiniti dealership can offer a CPO Infiniti. I don't know why being on the lot over 90 days would cause the certification to be removed. Sounds odd. If you want that one, they would probably be motivate to sell it since it's been there so long. Ask them to CPO certify it as a condition of purchase.

Yeah, for the heck of it, I have searched all of US for G37s. But I just can't risk taking time off of work, buying a plane ticket and having to spend money on hotel rooms.

And I've heard too many horror stories of buying vehicles site unseen.

I was considering doing that with an E-Bay seller, until I came across tons of horrible reviews and a F rating from the BBB.

Excellent idea with using the local zip codes. I will do that.

Yes, it is an Infiniti dealership. That is really all I am looking at mostly. Unless I find other major dealerships with low mileage Gs with factory warranty. Absolutely not interested in no name tiny mom and pop car lots.

There has to be a reason that a black 6mt coupe has been on his lot for so long with out selling. (besides the high price) Especially when he has a bunch of other CPO vehicles for sale.

Oh well, I will continue my search.

It took me over a year to find one. I did have a chance to purchase a non-sport with a 6mt a few months after I began to look, but I wanted the sport.

Wow, over a year!

I really hope it doesn't take me that long.

I guess I just need to be patient. I'm not going to spend close to 30k and not get exactly what I want.

Came across a very nice 2011 with IPL bumper and side skirts. But sadly it's not black. It's moonlight white.

I tried to look at pictures of modded white Gs to try and convince myself, but it's not working.

I am in search of a black on black beauty.

Took me a few weeks to find my black/black. Just be patient. Broaden your search even further and maybe fly out somewhere to pick it up / drive back or have it shipped back.

Have you tried infiniti.com not just the individual Infiniti dealers ?

According to your options the closest match (CPO) is about 1500 miles from Vegas:

and there is another CPO about 375 from you but it has a graphite interior:

Flying somewhere would be my last resort. Like I said, I would have to be 100% certain the vehicle is on the lot available for sale.

Having a vehicle shipped back to me would be my absolute last last resort (if at all).

That's why I am searching for a CPO Infiniti backed warranty G. Or a low mileage, still completely under factory warranty.

Buying something sight unseen can still lead to buying a car that has been involved in a collision or has something major wrong with it. Wrecks are often not listed on carfax and carcheck reports. It's a gamble.

Wow, Illinois! Really would not want to fly clear across the country for a car.

The black on graphite in California might be a lead. Thanks for posting Gio.
