Should I keep it? Maybe no choice.

Should I trade out of my 112k mileage 2010 G37x S, not worth keeping due to road rash paint repairs needed, or drive a couple years to trade in less inequity hopefully? Roll in 2.2k because of the high miles risk (wont replace the engine) and get a new ride or drive it off since I'm not rolling in cash. Most of the 120k scheduled maintenance has been done.

Overall it is bright and shiny --nice looking. No problems with the car right now except the power steering fluid needing to be changed. The miles though....

It was priced right. Then lost about 15% for the last of those initial 4 years depreciation. Ouch is right. Owe $16,225 but offers are 10 to 14k tops from dealers.

I'm stressed over it and maybe shouldn't be. I'll share more details if asked. Just enjoy it for two years and keep upkeep up?

Thanks

5 model years / 50k miles tends to be the biggest hit on most production cars.
I know a buddy who paid 70k for a m3 vert, 26 months later he lost his job.
His best offer was 49k, that's a big hit.
The last year of the loan is the really the only point where you will see any equity.
Look at this way can you afford a major repair, or unexpected expense?
A 2k hit isn't that bad, worst case roll into your new payment.
In a few years when you graduate, you will have a much higher income.

You mean graduate! lol
Best advice, seriously, increase your income.

I have 15 years of college and military pension it is just that my current situation and lack of car buying knowledge. Wish I made more like everyone else.

I can afford everything except engine replacement or rebuild. I guess the car is reliable until the engine goes. That puts me exactly back at whether I should trade it in or just bite the bullet for a couple years to break nearly even for a car with 1/2 the mileage. Should I get motivated to do a car deal over this mileage?

Have a plan to keep it under 150k miles and drive it two years. I could trade out of it but since I already did the maintenance repairing the mileage wear I may as well drive it a couple winters.

Was looking to replace it with an AWD Charger V8. Older one since a 2011 is just out of my price range rolling things in. Also considered a Dodge Dart ...lol

Still not sure I made a mistake. It simply needs repainting up front (or professional chip repair) and the mileage makes it not worthwhile and not worth keeping. DUMB

My 2010 Anniversary Edition is a hit with my fiancé though. Bought with 70k miles but warrantied through Allstate. Service history is good. Needs $1k paint work to be perfect with some tree sap damage. Warrantied. It was a squarely priced deal. I don't worry about it.

112k miles on this one with road rash and I'm feeling stupid paying the maintenance bills........ My fiancé assures me I'm just too picky about the paint but too much rash and you'll have early rust. Everyone assures me the engine will last and last with oil changes. Who know's.

Would most of you trade or sell away or drive it awhile?
