thoughts on 09 G37x deal - accident on carfax

CARFAX Vehicle History Report for this 2009 INFINITI G37 AWD

I'm looking at a 09 G37x - under 29k in miles. Dealer's asking 20,485 and so far won't budge.

The car is pretty clean, has some scuffs as well as a pretty good scratch going low from the fender to the driver door. Dealer says they've adjusted the price to account for it. Carfax doesn't have any details on the accident, but apparently no air bag deployed. Would you guys be nervous about this one, or just get it looked at independently and if they gave it a thumbs up then no problem? I mean, it looks like the accident happened very early on and it was driven for 2 years after that...

I bought my G37x sedan 2009 about 6 months ago with 20k miles on the odometer. it came as a CPO and had very few options.

I paid $23700

so what they are asking is fair i guess.

is it a CPO? if not, ask them why, maybe cause of the condition.

you never know, the previous owner could have just thrashed it but never got into a real accident so that is why its messed up.

some ppl don't appreciate their vehicles.

I would buy something nice and clean if I were you.

Is this the only G37 anywhere in your area to be found? If not, I'd look elsewhere and get one that doesn't have crash damage and is in better condition. Possibly even lower miles or a lower price. If you are set on getting it, it's well worth the cost to have a professional do a pre purchase inspection on it. May save you a big headache of buying a car that's not all it seems to be. Ask the dealership to knock the cost of the inspection off the price ($100-200) if you end up buying it.
