Looking into a G

Been on the lookout for a new car for quite a while. Finally went to Infiniti dealership yesterday and got a quote on a New 2013 G37x Lease...$2k down $332/ month for 24 months.

However, I went to another dealership and they have a 2010 G37xS for $22k, Payments would be around $350/Month.

Furthermore, Iv been looking on here, Im almost thinking it would be more beneficial for me to buy a modded G that already has some things installed.

Thoughts? It would be nice to have the new car with minimal monthly payments. The G37xs was pretty nice, but no mods, and iv seen some pretty sick G's FS on the forum too. Most however, arent anywhere close for me to check out.

Im just trying to get a feel for things
Also looking at Gen 1 CTSV, 335i, G8 GT, (even test drove a kia optima GSL that was pretty impressive)

The 335 that i drove yesterday was pretty quick...but i know maintenance is pricey

The lease they quoted you is outrageous. Do not take that deal!
1st month out of pocket, no more! And payment under $400 with sales tax (where applicable)! No fewer than 15K mi/yr with these figures too!

BMW 335i sure is a nice, quick car, but if you don't have the warranty it will cost you in maintenance/repairs . A lot. I'd avoid ones without extended warranty then (guessing you meant a used E90/92).

G8GT I personally like a lot, but not sure how they are reliability-wise. I drove it once, really enjoyed it.

Go with the G. I too looked at the 335 but maintenance swayed me. I bought a 2010x with 42k and im very happy with the car. Better to own at the same price.

On new 2013's remember that the dealer's are dying to get rid of the stock they have left. With the 2014 Q50's out and (at least for the RWD versions in colder climates) winter around the corner, they're very open to moving 2013's with deep discounts. Most people don't want last years model. Plus, October and November are usually the slowest months of the year for car sales, so even on the new Q50 now would be the time to swing a deal.

I just leased a 2013 G37 Sport 6MT last week. Infiniti Canada has 0.9% lease & financing on remaining 2013's, and a $9k cash back deal if you buy the car outright. I leased so couldn't get the cash back deal, but the dealer was so desperate to move the car that I was still able to get almost $10k off the sticker, plus they threw in the dealer installed rear wing, winter mats, and grocery nets. And I still have the option to buy the car out for the next 12 months and get the $9k cash back on top of the original $10k savings. (keep in mind these are off the Canadian price...around here the Sport 6MT with Nav is a $52k car)

Go back and play hard ball with the guy. He misread you and offered what he thought it would take to move the car. Trust me, there's a good chance he'll cave.

Honestly i like the 2010 37xs better than the 37x. It was comparably quicker too. I just got back with the bank and they will get me the loan @ 72months 3.5%= $355

I like the color combo too. charcoal grey with black. Compared to silver and black. Iv always been a fan of the Charcoal.

Im still torn. I may get the XS. I went back into the dealership to see what I can get a Q50 for. I am tempted to get that after I save for a down payment that would make payments a little cheaper. I really do love the Q, but the G is going to be much cheaper (and its brand new)

On a side note. Went to look at a new Genesis for the GF. Their leasing program was awful. 2013 Genesis 2.0T $900 down payments $380/Month iirc. Would be cheaper for her to get a G that is $10k more...

my wife's e90 LCI 335i is fantastic, but it had a Vanos solenoid fail last year and the repair out of warranty would have easily cost $3-5K. I couldn't see us keeping that car after the extended warranty is up. My maintenance concerns of my G37 are almost nonexistent.
