Advice on purchasing my first car!

Hey guys ive been lurking on the forum for awhile and i have the opportunity to spend 18k on a car. The G37 caught my eyes instantly and I know what i want. Since it is my first car i had a few questions. I am looking at a used 08 G37 Coupe. I am currently looking at two different options
1. Infiniti G37 Coupe
2. 2008 Infiniti G37 Sports Coupe

The first has 87k miles which kind of scares me because it is almost reaching 100k and i feel like there will be problems coming soon. The second has 41k and a few more options but has had one previous owner. They are around the same price range which makes me think that the 2nd one has problems hidden. I will be checking them out in person and have a mechanic inspect the car. It is my first car and i feel like the excitement can be leading me the wrong way. If guys could give me some opinions that would be great thanks!

What makes you think problems are hidden?

Welcome to NICO

My advise is be very very careful when buying a used vehicle.

There were over 400 thousand damaged vehicles due to hurricane Sandy

Since you have $18k to spend I think you might be better off buying something cheaper brand new with all new parts and a warranty while saving for your first Infiniti a few years down the road.

If you are so intent on a used Infiniti I woulld spend the money to have an Infiniti dealer inspect it and run the VIN number.

Good luck

Well I looked up the car with all it's features and mileage on Kelley blue book and the pricing should be 5k more than he is asking. Once again it is my first car but I just wanted to ask the forums since you guys have had experience.

I'm pretty stuck with the Infiniti haha. I know it's very important to get a pre purchase inspection but would I be better off paying an Infiniti dealership to do the inspection or an auto shop to do it?

The black one is not a "sport" model. He/she is claiming it is a sport but I can see that it only have the 19" wheels but no other aspects of the sports package.
