G37 - to buy, or not to buy

Hey guys, I ride bikes(cbr600rr for track and WR250x for stunt) for my main mode of transportation and around the track for a hobby/sport. I finally decided i need a car that isn't a tank and gets 8mpg in the city i.e. a toyota Tundra.

I have decided on the G37 for the luxury, 4 seats, good looks, and enough power to make me smile. I can get around 23k on my truck for a trade in, so thats pretty much my price range preferably.

Since i know pretty much only about bikes and such, i thought i would ask you guys about what you thought about the cars i was looking at to buy.

Anyways, found this on CL and thought it looked like a pretty good deal. I have been talking to the owner and apparently everything is perfect and he had no problem with me taking it to be looked at by the dealer.

What do you guys think? custom g37 sport

I live in the Dallas area so if you guys see any good deals, let me know!

pics of my bikes for fun:

The ad doesn't contain much info. Not sure if the guy is really even trying to sell it, little info and one pic? Those lime green painted calipers make a bold statement.

No model trim or year posted and the words * custom painted would scare me. Sounds like this is a salvage/rebuild. I could be wrong.

The ad is nonsense. As stated, very little meaningful information.. Reads like some third grader put it together. Doesn't even say what year it is.

Big red flag is why was it repainted....Why the riced out calipers

If the car is within reasonable driving distance of you, go out and take a look at it, be prepared not to take it home...

Fyi, that custom paint job just depreciated the value of the car, since any dealership will question, "Why did they get the car repainted?" and won't give you as much for trade-in money.

G/l with your search.

Check you local dealers. For the price range you're looking, you could find a CPO and have peace of mind. The Custom paint and riced out calipers will always hurt resale or trade value. Good luck with the search!

Sick bike pic how did u get that pic while riding? I ride too a 05 636 ZX6R. About the car no one paints a car without doing a lot of mods to it. So as everyone else was saying be skeptical about the custom paint as to why its been done. And those brakes, needs more mods to pull that off. Monster Edition G37S

Yep, thats it. It really helps since you can analyse yourself on a laptop after each session and see what needs improving.
My youtube with the videos:
/RikunoFilms?feature=mhee
I actually made $2,000 and a spot on the discovery channel from a video of me hitting a truck that went viral so the bike payed itself off a little lol

Im a mod monster. I poured 4k worth of mods into my Stunt bike. I dont even want to go into my cbr lol.

Mods:
Airbox mod
FMF EFI Programmer
50-stunt rear stunt pegs
50-stunt front axle sliders
50-stunt rear axle sliders
50-stunt street pegs
13mm Magnura Duel Caliper Handbrake(Ryan Moore)
12 Bar(Rieguy)
Zeta Handgauds
FMF Q4
RSM Shorty Clutch lever
Edge 2 FE kit
49 Rear sprocket
520 gold chain
AIS removed
Air flap removal
Magik SC kustom graphics
No-Toil Super-flo air filter
Uni-filer 1' airbox filters
Removed spark arrestor
Supermoto front fender
all that emissions crap removed.

Theres quite a bit more but these are the big ones.

Odds are, If i get a G, ill probably mod it very cleanly and quite possibly repaint it. I suppose ill look for one with a clean start to begin on though.

Ok boys, what do you think about this one?
New 2008 Infiniti G37 For Sale | Henderson TX 8M102528

I talked him down to 19k + TTL earlier. I test drove it and there was a slight rattle(im OCD) but im sure its something super simple to fix. It was with the interior, not engine. Ill try to take a video when i drive it in a couple days. Let me know what you guys think? Any concerns or what.

You guys help me find a car and ill throw the private video of my friend doing a wheelie past a cop around the loop + chase. A little incentive never hurts XD.

Early 08 build check dash, shifter area. I'm surprised they are giving you those rims with it. Looks real nice. Just have it checked by independent mechanic, the best. $100 you'll ever spend.
Some shops just so it to be nice, happened with a used car I had checked few years ago.
My dash would rattle got it fixed under warranty & shifter selenoid went so they replaced the whole shifter.
Hope you find the issue, otherwise sounds looks good.
It's the sport model so it has big brake kit/better suspension/LSD/ more aggressive front lip.
