I don't like the 6MT much in these cars (and yes, I can drive it smoothly). I think the clutch is a real headache compared to a lot of other cars and it adds a lot of NVH that isn't present in the AT. Besides, the MT is more likely to experience issues and failures (consider how many people have had their tranny replaced here).


If I were you, I'd just get the AT.

The 3.7L powertrain with its lack of torque, gear-hunting 7AT, and excessive throttle lag is a complete mess, definitely not sporty. I just traded my G37 for a G35 and I'm happy now.

True the 3.7 comes alive at 3500+ rpms. However, the tranny flash fixed the gear hunting and throttle lag.

The real issue is the G37 stinks when it comes to miles of bumper to bumper traffic. It's just horrible to drive in those conditions.
