2013 IPL - Dealer Mischief??

subjective taste i guess, if you get the proper tint no red is showing from the outside and inside will be dark enough it's not 'so' red. And when you're in the driver seat, you really won't see a lot of red. It's like a nice surprise when you open the door, think of it as a diamond's glare to a girl... I believe IPLs only comes with Malbec black or Plat. Graph., so perfect inside/outside color combination in my opinion.

Don't be talked into or settle for at best your"second choice" Hell, you're the customer. If they can"t supply the vehicle as you want it then move on. Settling will only bring you a nasty case of buyer's remorse.

I agree. While I respect the guys on here that say the red looks great, it's just not for me.
So, the latest is that they are still screwing me around. I spoke to Infiniti affairs and they insist that they can still be ordered. I spoke to the dealer before Xmas and he said he spoke to the manufacturing line, but that "they still don't think they can be made" and that they are closed through the new year so I will have to wait to hear back. I think one of two things are happening here:
1. He wants to wait until the year end incentives are up and will renege on his deal and expect me to pay more after they magically determine that the car can be made.
2. He has located the red interior car and is trying to unload it on me to save cost on the deal.
One additional note...I asked him about the graphite found in TX and if he secure that for me. His response..."not for the same price"
Does anyone have any additional suggestions?

A dealer can not give you the same deal from a "dealer trade" there are costs involved, or maybe the other dealer doesnt wan to let it go as an invoice car.
Call the other dealer direct, make a deal on the phone, drive/fly to that dealer to purchase it.

Be careful not to compete with yourself. The dealer that has the car might not want to trade with another dealer if they think they have a buyer, even though the buyer is you.

When I was looking to purchase mine, I was told that dealerships are awarded a certain allotment of IPLs per year. Once those allotments are fulfilled, additional IPLs cannot be ordered. This supposedly keeps the car in limited supply. I don't know if that is BS or not, but my dealer was unable to place an order for me. They had to track mine down at a dealership 100+ miles away and swap another car to get it for me.
Also, I think the graphite interior looks nicer than the red. The red is more exclusive, but ehhh I dunno... it's too bright. The graphite has the red stitching that matches the steering wheel, which is unique to IPL too. That's enough red for me. And at this point, IPLs with graphite leather are probably rarer than those with red! You shouldn't settle if the graphite is what you really want, but it's your decision. Good luck with the purchase!
