From TL Type-S to 2012 G37S!
Hi guys, new to the forum but I'm sure I'll find this to be my new home - was a regular member on Acurazine.com but time to move on. Wrecked my 2007 KBP Acura TL Type-S (a doctor in a brand new CT200H ran a red light and totaled both our cars) and figured it was time to get into a 2012 G37S AT Sedan.
Been working with a dealership for some time and his original price was $43,605 (before taxes). Got him down to $41,605 before leaving that day. Couple weeks of going back and forth and now he is offering me any G37 or G37S off their lot for $2k LESS than their invoice. Is that about where market rate is for this car???
Basically, that comes down to around $38k for a brand new G37S. Looking to finance the car and dealership approved me for $17.7k down with $400/mo payments for 66 months (that payment includes tax/title/destination/etc). I'm in California. I'll likely pay it off in fewer months but is this about right or should I be looking for a better deal elsewhere?
Originally wanted a 2010/2011 G37S AT Sedan with low miles but it's too hard to find the right one. Thoughts on pricing? Thanks in advance guys!

FWIW I got my 2012 G37S sedan (nav, premium, sport, illuminated kick plates, trunk mat/first aid kit, tint) for $37,350 +TT&L. I'd say $38k is a good price. There's always going to be different specials going on, differences in state pricing, etc...
Sorry to hear about your wreck, always liked the blue TL type-S. You'll enjoy the G though.

Thanks guys! I loved the car and had some conservative mods on it - but it always bothered me that at the end of the day, it was still FWD!
Damn that's a great price! The illuminated plates look sharp - I had custom ones installed in my TL as well .
Yeah, I still can't believe it's gone even after a couple months! People keep telling me to buy another one since mine was always kept super clean - but I think it's time to switch things up a bit! Always loved the G so probably time to get into one!
Should have seen the other guy's car ...

That's a wreck! If that happened to me I'll cry out loud but good for me I found a great dealership for me. When I am looking for a brand new product or service, I usually look at the company’s site to make certain that they are reputable and professional. Trying to find a car dealership is no different. When I was looking to get a brand new Honda in Austin, I went and found Howdy Honda's webpage.

God Welcome to the forum. Glad that you are alive and well. That looks like a bad bad wreck. For a G37S sedan I got it fully loaded for $37,401. Check edmunds great site to check car prices.

Poor TLS, That is the color the wife wanted, but got the WDP TLS instead. Good luck with the G, Try truecar.com to look at prices in your area. I am on acurazine too, should still pop by from time to time!

I have a list of all my mods on acurazine.com (same S/N) but not too many stock parts left except for an extra carbon fiber steering wheel. Have over 100 pics from the accident site & at the AAA lot after the wreck. Have all documented service + manuals + keys + codes for the car since I was the original/only owner.
Let me know what you need!

I also came from Azine, but was a member here prior (G35). I recently sold my 08 TL for a 2012 G37. I was never happy with my TL. I prefer old fashion HP from the rear tires. Could not make the FWD adjustment. I am glad I made the switch & consider it an upgrade. Hope you enjoy your G as much as I am.
