Currently negotiating deal

Trading in a 2004 G35 Sedan with premium package and 68000 miles. Negotiating for a 2009 G37 Sedan premium with 21k miles. Out the door, with the trade in value, I think I got them down to 17k cash out the door, and they will certify the g37.

Think it is a good deal? I currently am on an extended test drive (took it home for a few hours) and have not signed anything yet.

Hard to say. What are they giving you for your Infiniti vs. how much are they charging you for theirs.

My local dealer wanted $27k for a certified 09 similar to what you listed with 16k miles on it.

*Edit* just realized you were including your trade in value on the deal, separate numbers would help gauge the deal a lot better.

This is not the way for anyone to help you to figure out if your deal is good or not. The information needed to make a good deal (or evaluate one) is:

Trade in value offered for your current car
Mileage, condition, and all options on your current car
Negotiated purchase price of the car you are buying
Mileage, condition, and all options of the car you are looking to buy

Trade in has 68000 miles, 2004 black obsidian exterior in perfect condition, no accidents, 2 owners, has sunroof, bose stereo, broken CD changer, leaking oil, bald rear tires.

Negotiated price of car is 27k including tax, title, tag, dealerfee. It will be certified, silver, premium package, journey, sunroof, power everything, ipod, bose stereo, tan interior (forgot the technical name) Has 20,850 miles. In service date of 08/09.

But to add to the mix now, I sent an email to another infiniti dealer, who says he will sell me a 2010 sedan with premium, white exterior, black interior, perfect condition, 11k miles for the exact same price (10k trade, 17k cash out the door) and im trying to get into a 2010 black coupe with 33k miles with premium, journey (non sport) for an extra grand (10k trade, 18k cash).

deals sound pretty average, $27-$28k certified was what I ran into while looking for a similar car, not sure what the tax rate is where you live on a new car, but out the door for that price sounds reasonable. I'd go for the 2010 over the 09 as they have some upgrades over the 09 and still reflect the "current" style of the '12's.

If you really want the coupe, pay the extra $1k, but make sure you can live with the limited back seat space and small trunk coming from the sedan it'll be an adjustment.

Sorry for the confusion early on, and thanks for the input. Ended up purchasing the 2010 Coupe, 33k miles, premium pack, full tank of gas haha. Final numbers were $10500 trade in value. Car price $26434.

Really excited to get back into a two door.
