How is this lease deal on a 2012 coupe?

Hi,

I'm looking at a 2012 G37 coupe journey with sport package, premium, nav, kick plates. MSRP is 47,130.

Dealer is offering the following lease deal on a 39 month 15k miles:

Cap Cost: 41,221 + 599 doc fee + 750 acquisition fee. Total = 42570 (this seems like a really good deal per truecar)

MF: .00107 (yuck)

No money down, $545/month including taxes.

Thoughts?

Currently being offered 1400 upfront with 459/month for 36 months or 449/mo for 39 months on a 2012 G37x Sport package sedan. Also they are taking my last two payments of 515 left on my acura lease and paying my extra mileage of about 200 bucks. What do you guys think???

pretty good, although they are probably not taking the payments and extra mileage rather taking it in as a trade to resell.

I'm sure you have your reasons but a lease isn't exactly the best financial decision you can make...

You can't buy a car for $500 with a 40,000 price tag. Leasing has it's advantages.

So we look at this like adults.

$545 over 39 months is a $21255 liability

42,000 over 60 months is $768/month which over 39 months is almost $30k out.

And so if you took the difference in payments over just the 39 months the $224 difference ($224x39) you would save $8700 in the back by simply putting what the you would have paid in the bank. And if you look at what you can sell a 3 year old car for (using autotraders average of 2009 g37s around me at 28,000) you would still owe 16K on the car meaning if you could sell it for that (those are listing prices) you would only make 8K on keeping the car...which is EXACTLY what the lease comes out in cash IN/OUT comparatively.

It does make financial sense to lease...do all cars lease well..no.

Good news, I've gotten a better offer. Here's the current best offer, which I am planning to take.

2012 G37 Coupe Journey
Sport, Premium, Nav, Spoiler + Midnight Black Grill, Illuminated Kick Plates, Splash Guards, Trunk Mat.
15k miles, no cap reduction. 39 month lease.

Cost: $499/mo.

(the difference between the last and this one is that I got the spoiler + grill, and still saved $4/mo.)

Also, I'm planning to do the max amount of multiple security deposits, so my MF and payments will be even lower.

What's the selling price, the new money factor, and what's the residual?

It's insane to negotiate on the monthly payments......
