trading in the coupe, good price?
trading in the coupe - traded!
I'm very seriously considering trading my 08 coupe for a M/T 335i sedan as built below. My coupe is a head ache, love the car but full of noise and now at 38k miles the clutch is near the end of its life; of course the throwout bearing too....
The current quote for 335i sedan is $46,950 otd. Good price as packaged? Payment will be at $843x60 months with all amount financed at 2.9% = $50,580. This is all before figuring in my trade in. Invoice for exact equiped 335 from Edmunds is $47,685.
Haven't negotiate the trade in price yet, we'll see. It's got 38k+ miles, condition is good, tires are still original, all packages except Nav/tech/AWS. All maintenance records, books, etc... What would be a fair trade in price range?
335i Sedan
Rear-wheel drive
Base MSRP $42,050
Space Gray Metallic $550
Chestnut Brown Dakota Leather $0
Glacier Silver Aluminum trim $0
Performance Edition Package $550
M Sport Package $3,750
Premium Package 2 $2,650
Heated front seats $500
Harman Kardon surround sound system $875
iPod and USB adapter $0
Destination & Handling: $875
Total MSRP as Built $51,900
UPDATE
local INfi dealer quoted $21,799.00 for trade in, BMW dealer wants $21k!?? No-go there. Or could go with a 335d, with less options for around $42k.
Got a quote for 2012 sedan G37S M/T, $38,115 (MSRP $42,235) otd except for tax, I'll prob. build and order it. This is also with splash guard, carpet, and trunk spoiler. Essentially, 90.75% of MSRP is the agreed ratio, so may get another coupe?
Well, I'm currently paying $604/month with my orginal loan for the G coupe @ .9% for 60 months w/ $0 down. If I go with the current offer for the 335 and figuring in my trade in at $21,000 (minus about $14,000 payoff to Infiniti), payment will be $733 w/ $0 down. But ain't gonna do it with $21k trade-in, need at least another grand w/ BMW.
For 2012 G37S sedan w/MT it is ~ $38k - trade in = $31,201 financed @2.9% = $584 for 60 mos.

TOB had been bad since day one with the infamous grinding noise (lots of posts by others on this issue), took it to the dealer they said TOB grinding noise is normal. They now said clutch is bad? yeah right, pretty sure it the TOB. Went on a road trip recently and loss clutch pressure during driving, couldn't shift.

I've had a few BMWs in the past and currently I am leasing a 2011 M3 convertible [summer] and 2011 G37x coupe [daily&winter].
I am currently paying $650 [10% tax included] for M3 vert [10k/36mo] and $359 for G37x [10k/36mo - premium, splash, trunk mat, first aid], no down payment on both. My M3 is pretty much loaded every options available and the reason why I am paying so little is because I picked it up in Germany aka European Delivery. Take a look at this link - How to Save Money Doing Euro Delivery - Bimmerfest - BMW Forums If you do European Delivery, you get a big chunk of discount BEFORE any negotiation.
If you need any help, don't hesitate to pm me.

IPL was offered in a m/t since the beginning? Thats twice now you have mention that you would consider an IPL because you can get an m/t lol. Those payments for bmw just do not make sense lol. Not to mention the issues they have with the turbos.
I don't consider putting anything down for my purchase, so payment figure seems about right. Interests over 5 years @2.9% is about $3000 plus or minus final amount financed.
Several years ago I was considering the SLK, and there was absolutely no discount on that car. I believe the E class had 7% ED discount back then but E is just too big for me.
