I just had my car in the shop for the 2008 muffler rattling tsb, and they gave me a 2011 7AT loaner.

The 7AT is nice, no doubt. But when you get a sporty car like this with an automatic, all you can really do is stomp on the gas. Sure, you can play with the paddle shifters, but the slight delay in shifting kills the connection that have with the car--and most of the fun.

7AT drivers will beat me up/down/sideways off the line because I'm just not that fast at shifting, but am I having more fun than them every single day I drive the car? Yes.

I had the 7AT for two days and was bored out of my gourd with the car. I couldn't wait to have my 6MT back.

Unless you drive in a lot of traffic during your commute, hate shifting, like to day dream while driving because you have nothing else to do, or like to eat ice cream cones in your car, the 6MT is the way to go...

My 2c.

Wow, post the question in the morning and buy in the afternoon? Geez didn't even let me vote till after you got the car

Anyway, I vote for 6mt. Slushboxes stink.

Grats on the new car. Hope you enjoy it.

I agree on the rims needing to be upgraded in the future. I plan on Vossen CV2's.

When my financing is finished, I'll be sure to grab a more "refined" 6MT IPL when they come out.

I also like hearing people say:
"This guy didn't just get a G, he got the BEST ONE" (stole that from another tread).

I'll be sure to post pics accordingly =)
Let me know when you want to get rid of the stock rims without bankrupting me...

I'm still kicking myself for not getting a 6mt. It was all because the wife kept saying, "Well what if I want to drive it?" (even though I offered to teach). Now she doesn't ever drive it anyways because I'm so **** .

I want a stick
