Grubbs VS OEM Spoiler.

Hey guys, I have a handfull of pretty simple questions that could hopefully be answered. As most of you know I had an 2008 g37s coupe, well now I just climbed into a 2010 g37s coupe. When I went to the dealership, it was last minute I needed the car within acouple days they had the car on the lot to make a story short I left with the brand new 2010.

The car on their lot did not have a spoiler, I wanted a rear spoiler so I bought signed off on my lease that it has the spoiler. They told me it was no problem and that they would have the OEM spoiler installed. I payed the residual amount for the OEM spoiler BTW.

Well I sent my pops to pick up my car from Infiniti, I get home and the spoiler is huge. It does have the camera cut out and brake light, but DAM is it big. This to my knowledge is not the OEM spoiler, I am thinking it the grubbs v3?

Here are couple questions:

1. Did they redesign the rear spoiler for the 2010 models? ( Dont think so just confirming.)

2. If this is not oem (different then my 2008 OEM spoiler) can I make them give me an OEM spoiler?

3. Is grubbs considered an OEM retailer?

4. I'de rather my old spoiler which is OEM, the one I payed for. How would I go about doing this?

Thanks Guys!

Wow that sucks. How did they even get their hands on a Grubbs spoiler though? I called about a month ago and they said they weren't selling them due to fitment issues...

To my knowledge, there shouldn't be redesign on the spoiler itself :P If I had an OEM spoiler to measure, I would do that for ya..

I have the V2 and its more aggressive than OEM but that really looks like the V1 IMO. Round camera hole is the dead giveaway.

If I paid for an OEM spoiler, does infiniti have the right to give me this spoiler?

When a car comes from the factory it does not come with this spoiler, therefore I dont think they should have gave me this spoiler. Am I right?

Grubbs does not manufacture infiniti parts. Only parts manufactured by infiniti are considered oem. Get your money back if you don't like it since they promised you the oem spoiler. It reminds me of the old Porsche 911 ducktail spoilers and I like it. If you decide to keep it, take it back and have them install it right; the double sided tape should not be bulging out from under the spoiler.

Edit: there is a big price difference between the Grubbs spoiler and oem.

Called service, got transfer to some dude eddie - no answer. Called back 4 times no answer or voice mail.

Tommorow if service is open, I will be calling and asking for the service manager. For some reason I think this might be leading to me having to have go to the GM or possibly corporate.

Called up today, waiting for a call back. He tried to play me saying that If its OEM I would have payed more then $550 even though thats the price of oem.

I told him I been to about 4 other dealerships, this is my second G, and I said I know I have a lease residual for an OEM spoiler which is $550, which is also shown on your website. The one I currently have is not OEM.

"Ok I will look into it and call you back"....
