Fee for dealer auction

Hey guys, thought I'd get some input on something. Looking to get a G37 through Manheim (dealer only auctions) and was wondering what is a good "profit" or fee to pay someone to do this for me. The person is saying $1,000 is that reasonable? Also, I am doing all the research and finding the one I want since I have access to it for browsing but not purchasing.

Thanks!

considering how much cheaper you can get it through there i'd say that's reasonable if you find a great one.

Unless that person has a retail license, it is illegal for him to sell you the car.

Most wholesalers do not have a retail license. Any car can be auctioned, but for a car to be retailed, it must pass a minimum of safety and possibly smog. Wholesalers do not have the bility to certify that the cars pass the inspections, and does not have a DMV liaison to register the car for you.

you could be inheriting a car with problems. it's the same as going to get a new construction home and the builder never got permits to do so. you buy it as a short sale and boom you got tons of fees to take care of
