Thanks...was told 90 days and was pretty bummed as I thought I'd be buying this month...but wasn't sure if that was the normal or maximum time. Seems like a long time but then again I don't know everything thats involved. Also, have ordered american cars in the past and the longest those took were 8 weeks.

Anyone else?

I went back and looked and mine was 5 weeks and 1 day. I think they told me 8 to 12 just to be safe. They'd rather exceed your expectation than disappoint you with it being late I guess.

My 07 6MT sedan arrived 2.5 months after I ordered the car while my 09 6MT sedan arrived in 3 months. If I remember correctly, the dealers have a window to place orders at the begining of the month. Once the window closes, your order goes in the following month and I think that's what happened with the 09 (placed a deposit during the second week of Sept 08 and the car arrived in Dec).

da Mayor - Could you fill us in on the ordering process?

Do the current incentives (dealer cash or special finance %) apply to factory orders? Or is it just for in-stock vehicles?

The available incentive applies at the time when you sign the contract

How does it a factory order work with the lease rates? Since lease rates can change from month to month, do I get the MF/Resid at the time of the order or at the time I pick up the car? Is there some sort of a lock period for the rates like in a mortgage?
