Advice on 09 g37s coupe 7AT

Hi guys just wanted to get some advice before I make the call to the dealer. I am thinking of completely paying off a new 09 g37 7at (premium, nav, spoiler, sport) so I don't have to deal with the ridiculous APR of 4.9 for 60 months. The dealer offered me around 45k with the options I wanted OTD. Now that I am considering paying off the entire car what is a good asking price and what other options can I ask them to throw in since I am paying in full. I was thinking 42k OTD and have them throw in illuminated kick plates and hopefully extended warranty. What do you guys think? This is my first post on this website. My friend told me about this site and how great of a resource this is for first time G owners. Thanks.

I think paying in full only works in Canada....they make more money if they can have you financed...

I really doubt they are going to do $42k otd for an 09 tax and tags alone is around $2500 obviously depending on where you live and what your salestax is. If im not mistaken, your cars msrp should be easily $45k, dont think they are going to do $6000 discount, maybe on an 08 but not on a 09. Good luck though

Oh wow just looked at edmunds and the prices for the 09 g37 with the options i wanted dropped:

What Others
Are Paying
MSRPInvoiceNational Base Price
A note about advertising fees$36,650$33,859$34,104Regional Adjustment

With this info, I don't think 42k OTD is that bad of an offer? Especially if Keng thinks I should ask for invoice. What do you guys think? Sorry hard to read but I just cut and pasted.

Where do you live and what's the tax rate? I bet your tax on the car is going to be 2k at least. 42K OTD is going to be nearly impossible to get assuming 2k tax.

I live in California not sure what the tax rate is, i believe it changed in 09. You think a dealer would turn down a 42k check over 2k? Thant makes me sad especially in this day and age where the economy sucks and people are losing jobs.

What you ordered is close to mine, you will be paying around $3300-3400 (8.25% in Los Angeles County) and $350-360 on the registration.

42k is not going to happen.

44K might be possible, they might bite at 44.5K.

Ouch...well last time i talked to the dealer he said best he could do was 500 under invoice not including tax license etc. which would come to about 45k....44k is better than 45k but Id say no to that. I think max id go if im paying all up front is 43k...that's no chump change im giving them...
