I can't take a look at it, as I'm i Little Rock and the car is in Miami. I'm trying to get the VIN # to run a CARFAX report. I could hire an escrow agent or inspector to check it out.

I was actually looking at the same car for a while and the lady just got back to me after several days after e-mailing her.

There are many red flags about this one, and with the advice from a friend I decided against it thankfully.

First of all, on the ad there was not that much information. The description was that of a G37 without Premium/Sports/Nav/Tech package (6 speakers, no mention of navigation, manual transmission, OR anything else indicating these options.) Yet in the e-mail she sent me, she said it had all these packages (I asked specifically about them). No one ever answers the phone number on the ad, and it goes straight to a fax machine every time.

Second, after that less than straightforward description of the vehicle, THE VIN NUMBER ISNT EVEN LISTED. Whats the first thing all car dealers/sellers do? They post their VIN number. This lady has not even given me her VIN number after 2-3 times of asking it through e-mails.

Third, she says the price is $29,200 (very good price) and is willing to negotiate even lower (wtf?)!!! And that she is selling it not for profit. She is such a saint to humanity that she is going to donate all the money to charity. Oh by the way, the car is in Idaho in a crate ready to be shipped and ready to go. Just sign the dotted line and its yours! Not to mention the listing says the car is in Miami. The only reason she is selling it not other than she realized some things in her past and that there are more important things in life. (So what? You have to get rid of a beauty of a car to make you happy?)

Sorry guy.. Burst my bubble too when I came to this realization. But most of the people here are right, it is too good to be true. The story behind it is just absurd. You do what you want, and if you decide to buy it, I wish you the best of luck. Who knows, maybe this is that one in a hundred billion kind of person. But do you really want to take that chance?

Price sounds about right, figure it would be roughly $34k if you bought it at a dealer.

Hey Wipeoutlol,

she sent me the same email story this morning. Did her email state that the car was in a storage container in Idaho? I ran the VIN # and it came back with nothing wrong. It showed where a lien/title had been taken out earlier this year. Then in Oct. went to auction and then another title created. All of these transaction taking place in Kansas. It could've been repossessed by the bank, by either way still a bit fishy. I traced the fax # back to a bank in Kansas and contacted that bank. They are running the VIN # to see if it was ever involved in a transaction with the bank. She told me her voice line transfers to the fax line. But that of another business? Very kind of the bank to do this for me. Which brings me back to Idaho. Why is it in a container in Idaho of all places?

I'm pretty sure this is bogus, and as soon as I hear from the bank I plan to let autotrader know about it.

Is there anyone/member on here who's VIN # is :JNKCV64E58M113257?

I have contacted both that dealership and autotrader.com. I will continue to string out the seller and not let them know anything yet.

I was thinking stolen car but it seems more like a scam than anything else.

Yeah she gave me same story, same VIN. Kind of scary. I would shoot someone if I lost almost $30,000 to a scam.

It's all good, because I have someone coming to look at my truck this weekend. Now all I need is someone to buy my WRX.
