WTH would he call you back just to say they can't move on the price? That just shows they are desperate. Tell them no thanks and I can guarantee you they will call back ready to deal. I hate dealership games.

I bought mine 1 month ago, Prem/Sport/ no Nav for $37,000 But I live in a place with 5 dealers within 80 miles. I would also drive 200 miles to save a few bucks and put it to the dealer.. and then take it to him for warrenty work. but I am a *****

 

I sensed a voice of desperation when he called me back at work the very next day. He offered 37800 with no nav. Couple of minutes have just passed before I made this post and he called me again. I told him to rip my contact information up and wish him the best of luck on selling the car. I'll take my money elsewhere.

um seeing as corporate infiniti are the 1s dragging on releasing the 09s, ive got no choice. my dealership is port of entry so they get the first cars. hell, the 09s are sitting at the port here in jax, i could just go steal 1.

Anyways, $39K sounds too high for a non S, considering that overall luxury item sales are down and it's the end of the year and dealers are trying to sell off the '08's.

FYI, I got mine in April, S with premium and spoiler for $41K. And that's here in Guam where we actually only have one Infiniti dealer, the closest one would be across the Pacific Ocean in Hawaii.

I suggest looking for other dealers close by. I'm pretty sure they can quote you through their websites or by phone and even find a better deal.

You said you don't need the car right now and not in a hurry. That's leverage for you.

 

Thanks for the great advice! If worse comes to worse I'll try again at the same dealership in the future but this time with a different salesman. Kind of disrespectful for the other guy but a sale is a sale. There's another dealership 80 miles north of where I live I might just email them tomorrow to see what they can do. During the convo I told him i would be the laughing stock at the g37 forums if I posted a pic of my brand new car on the forums and told them I bought it a 08 in nov/dec for anything over 37k. Thanks guys!

 

You could also tell him that if you do get a great deal - everyone on the forum will know, too!
