Tire Tread at end of lease?

Tire Tread at end of lease?
I was reading my lease it says the tire has to be 1/8" inch of tread remaining so is the 4/32"?

Correct. You can get a tread depth gauge from most tire shops for a few bucks to check.

I was wondering the same thing why the wouldn't just replace the tires for a new owner.
