yeah, putting 5k down should definitely help lower the payments to that range. Is it the right decision? not really. When it comes to leasing, the less you put up front, the better.

And yes, you can make modifications. Just remember that if you can't take them off, the car goes back to the dealer with them. If the dealer doesn't like the mods, they will charge you to remove/replace them.

Just remeber if you put 5K down and 350 a month make sure you get the prem pack, navi, and sport pack fully loaded car. Not a base model if you get a base then you got screwed by the dealer.

yea the guy is talking about lease not finance for lease 5K down at 600-700 a month that would mean the guy would be paying 7K over sticker I would consider that highway robbery. and i would smack the sales person that would dare tell me that.

Dont put big $$$ down on a lease

try to put as little down on a lease, most of the out of pocket $$ is going to Bull $hit like dealer fees, bank fees, transfer fees...... which is really just another scam to put money in the salesmans pocket. When you put large amounts down on a lease just to make your payments lower, you run the risk of loosing that cash if something happens to the car. For example: insurance is not going to cover that $5000 if you total the car. The insurance only pays off the car balance. It is better to just pay inceptions (which should be in the ballpark of $1200-1500) and put the extra cash in the bank as a buffer to pay the extra $30-$40 per month. That way if anything ever happens to the car, you still have some of the cash left in the bank. Don't let them tell ya that you have to put all that extra cash down, if they do, get up and leave. Also, do not fall for the scam that GAP insurance is an extra fee, GAP is automatically included in leases. I once had a salesman try to tak on $30 per month for GAP, I told him he was Full of $hit and went to another dealer.
