re: $1000 off with .9%

here's what I did:

1) went to costco website and went through their auto program but I don't think you need to do that for the 08's. You should be able to go in and offer $200 over invoice or something that is reasonable.

2) the $1,000 off was the Infiniti customer loyalty program even tho this is my first Infiniti purchase. They told me it was a special offer, end of year, etc. I bought just before labor day weekend. and of course, the .9% is still available.

Now, if I would have gone in there with a $1000 under invoice offer I doubt they would have given me the $1000 loyalty incentive. Bottomline, I got it for under invoice ($800) which is a good price for me and the dealer still made some money......

Thats why I think some folks are saying you can't get the $1000 and the .9% but I think it depends on what the initial offer is. in other words, if you go in low balling you may not get the loyalty incentive (if you are a first time buyer). Make a fair offer and I'm sure they'll be fair. I didn't even know I was getting it - they just told me! I was perfectly okay with $200 over invoice.

When I was there they only had 3 6MT's on the lot - i just checked and now they only have a Blue Slate one. so you have very limited selection unless you want a Journey.

I purchased at Infiniti Thousand Oaks (they are an Award of Excellence dealership) through fleet sales. Scott Murphy was salesman. Phone: 805-494-1200. No hassles, went in, took a test drive, did the paperwork while they washed the car, and left with a new G37 BO 6MT!!!

PM me if you need any more info

not 100% sure - sounds like it varies. offer something reasonable and ask for it if they don't offer it. tell them you know other dealers are giving $1000 and the .9%

if you are already asking for under invoice they may not go for it.

the best deals in the new england/ mid atlantic region are at competition infiniti. I spoke to the sales manager at infiniti of norwood in massachusetts and he said that he couldn't even come close to the deal that they are offering.

I am really thinking about picking up a new G. Just so that I'm clear, when you say you might be able to negotiate $1000 off invoice, is that including invoice pricing on the options as well. Also, last time I bought a car, i was amazed by delivery/ doc/prep fees. What's reasonable on those costs guys?

i wouldn't worry about the other fees - you're going to have to eat those. just try to get the most off invoice as you can. and yes, with the options before fees/tax, etc

I got 500 over invoice for my LP g37s with sport and premium- NO navi or 4ws. Purchased it last Tuesday.

I purchased mine in Philly- any of the Philly dealers will do 500 over invoice BUT I bet they will do better than that especially on the base g.

The best way to cut a deal is go to Edmunds and get the dealers in a 25-50 mile. Send a mass email out about what you are willing to pay. Negotiate a trade deal separately- i.e. go to the table and settle on your price and then, and only then, start talking about a trade.

Most of the dealers will send you a standard reply to your email signed by the IT sales guy. So you have to reply to that with another reiteration of your price and then you will get some action. I should have offered 2K below invoice- might have gotten it.

There are a TON of 08s sitting on the lots in Philly.
