You're putting down 2k towards cap cost reduction...that can't be a good deal.

The 2K is total upfronts, so only a portion of that is going to Cap Cost. The wheel and tire pkg. can't be done (apparently) so the final ticket will be 2K upfront out the door and 368/mth.

only way to know if your deal is good is knowing the sale price and the rates/residuals being used.
Upon further inspection...I'm guessing your sale price is around 33,000.
Which is about $150-$200 over invoice. So your putting around $600-700 towards cap cost reduction. I would just put $0 down and pay the 1st mo + fees.

you would maybe have to step up to journey to get the wheel and tire package. I've got it, (journey w/ wheel and tire pkg.) so i don't know what would prevent them from getting a duplicate of my car.

The downside to upgrading to the Journey is that the residual value drops. Your best bet may be to go with the Sport trim (not to be confused with the sports package). The Sports trim retains same residual as the base.

Alright, this is likely the deal I'm going with. G37 Base w/o the Wheel and Tire Pkg, which as stated above only can be had w/ Journeys.

32,854 Capitolized Cost

Rate is 1.840

Residual is 75%

2K total due at signing

350.92 for 24 mnths at 12K miles

Sorry.. meant to chime in sooner :P personally i think you should be able to get that cap cost without having to put any money down (just the drive-off) on it to reduce it to that point. But that depends where you live. If you are out west and have more dealers to work with, then yes. If you are located in other parts of the country where there's less competition, the deal you are getting sounds pretty darn good.

Well, I'm located in Warren which is a suburb of Detroit. There are two dealerships that are relatively close. The Sales Mgr is the guy I've been dealing with, and I can honestly say, I've gotten great service. I am also in sales myself, so customers don't always beat me up when I've taken care of them, so paying a little more than the best deals had across the country is ok, but I don't want to give money away unnecessarily.

The dealer is having to bring the one I want from the other dealership, so while that cost is minimal on their end, it's an expense. I do qualify for VPP, and the guy aluded to the fact that VPP isn't always the best deal and he wanted to get the best numbers for me. That's why I'm checking here, because you want to trust, but ultimately, you can't. Thanks!

Rick,

Three questions:

1 - What is the MSRP (sticker price)?
2 - What is the invoice price?
3 - What is your price?

Most people are getting their G's at or very close to invoice. If it's a lease what is the money factor rate (usually represented by decimal number 0.00197, etc.)?

Buy at invoice and do not put money down to lower the lease payments.

Brought it home tonight. 350/ mth on this car is a very comfortable payment. 2K total out of pocket. 350 of that being the first payment. At the end of 2 yrs. the 1,650 will be money well spent to drive this car for 350/ mth. Thanks for all the help. I am officially a member of the club!

Congratz Rick! Glad you made the plunge. I think the deal was solid. Just think, some people lease accords and camry's for that price...you're rolling in a G37. NICE!

Thanks a lot guys! One of the things the sales mgr said before I took my test drive was "it has the best sounding engine on the road." Of course I thought he was probably a little bias, but man the more I drive it, the more I think he was dead on. I've never driven a Ferrari, but I've heard them wind out, and that is exactly what it sounds like to me, a high reving small block V-8. Veeery addictive. I see why so many here get 13 MPG's.

Going from the G37S Premium to the G37 Base, really isn't that big of a deal. I had an Acura TL, so I've given up Bluetooth, moonroof, heated seats, six disc etc. But I really don't think I'll miss too much with this car as is. The base wheels are growing on me and going into Michigan winters won't be as scary with the all seasons, or force me into dropping 1,500 in wheels and tires for a 24 mth leased car. Sorry to keep blabing. I'm stoked and everyone here that has one knows exactly what I'm talking about! Thanks again for the responses!

One word of advice. When your wife is planning on trading her 05 Scion TC for an 08 model TC, don't take her when you get your Infiniti delivered. She is now eyeballing an EX.... So much for the money I saved by foregoing the S premium!
