Good deal?

Hi! I'm new to the forums and hoping I will join the G family very soon!

I got a quote over internet from a dealership and wanted to see what are your opinion on this deal.

Infiniti G37 Journey w/ premium, sport, and spoiler. (blue-slate/graphite)
MSRP $41, 650
Dealer offer me $39,300
Interest at 2.9%

I believe the invoice price is $38,000. How much you think I can go?

Thanks in advance!
Rai

Depending on where you live, you can get invoice or $100 over at most.

You can do a lot better.

The '08 model year is coming to a close. They will be taking orders for the '09 coupe starting in July....

I live in Washington. Any tips on how I can get it for lower?
Or do I just tell them up front I want it for $38,000 invoice?

i find it really hard to get it for invoice, but from what i've seen here on the forums, don't pay more than 750 over invoice

You don't get anything in life unless you ask for it.

If you are truly ready to buy a car now, tell your salesman that you appreciate the service he/she has given you thus far and that you really want to buy a car from him. But you're having a hard time ignoring some excellent deals you've heard others have been getting on the outgoing '08 models. Would $1,000 below invoice make you happy? $1,500? $750? I believe all three of those scenarios are doable. Tell him directly that you are prepared to make a move immediately if he can sell you the car at ________ below invoice. Do not talk about anything else (trade-in, financing/lease options) until you have agreed on the selling price. If he says that the best he can do is at or above invoice, thank him for his time and say that you owe it to yourself to see what other deals are out there (good chance they'll change their tune either before you leave or by the time you get home).

The whole process is a game bro... play it or be played.
