Why are you guys still paying over invoice for this vehicle. I get quoted AT invoiced by every dealer in the chicago and phx area. I'm looking for someone to cough up hold back at this point.

$39k OTD? I'll show you the door that takes you back to the car you drove in on.

EDIT: Now I understand why you call yourself "high" Mike.

ok you guys....keep on topic..this banter is getting tiresome.

Dave: You can't influence people to go against what they believe in.
HighMike: You're sounding unreasonable in that only very few dealers are looking to venture into their holdback. They have to make some sort of living.

Business must be hard to be copping such a 'tude (not just on this thread but many I've seen from you recently). Or maybe it's that time of the month? Either way, it's pretty pathetic really.

Who do you think you are to come here and TELL people how to pursue their deals? I don't see anyone here coming to your dealership or asking for your advice. It's actually quite hilarious watching you fight the good fight. I figure you'll be pretty worn out from your unsuccessful angle in a few months. It's an uphill battle, and one you will never win, I guarantee you that. Every day millions of people all over this planet go and seek bottom of the barrel SUB-INVOICE HOLDBACK CARVED deals, always have and always will. And believe it or not ... are you ready for this ... THEY ARE GOING TO regardless of your little opinion.

Unreal.

More power to ya, HighMike. I'm doing the same. I'm working three dealers pretty hard right now and one is AT invoice. I'll ride them hard till the end of the month till one of them goes $1000 below. If not now, the closer and closer it gets to the '09 models, they will. Only then I'll be asking for a $1500 below.

I'm in zero rush, and can play the waiting game REAL well. I'm not the one who needs the commission check at the end of the month to pay the following month's rent.

Okay, just bought a G37 PG/G Sport 6MT - Premium, Splash, Kicks, Mat/Net. MSRP was $40,395, invoice was $36,926.

Paid $37,164, and that includes freighting the car from Ohio to Nebraska. Not bad. Would have been under invoice if it wasn't for the $525 freight.

Local dealer couldn't touch the price, and didn't have the car I wanted. I noticed market prices were way better in Chicago and elsewhere vs local here in NE. Might have been able to deal lower, but salesman are people too. Anyways, the car should be here this week

Don't have the numbers in front of me, but I got everything except 4WAS at 3.65% below invoice. If you do the math, that's how much I paid.

Regardless of the fact that IP is an incredible color...Probably #1 or #2 in most peoples eyes...I'd question why in the world you'd be getting it if you HATE the color? You've lost me there...Why not just wait until you find the color you want?

+1
Chase's deal is, litterally, impossible to beat.

From the dealer's side.

If they know you're going to shop, they're less likely to give you a price for that exact reason.

Chase, on the other hand, came in, KNOWING he was taking a car home. He knew it and I knew it. Thus, we'll do anything and everything possible to make sure he takes it home that night.
