Required credit score from IFS for leasing?

Just wondering what credit score is required for top tier IFS rates?

700 i believe is teir 1, but they'll take lower scores depending on the desire of your salesman to work with IFS, you might just have to settle for a lower teir qualification if your not to strong in the FICO department.

FICO isn't everything. Is where it's mostly based sure, but not everything. I've seen 735 Equifax scores get Tier 2 because of weak or poor automotive payment history. Conversely, I've seen 685 get Tier 1 because they were strong in automotive payment history, but might be maxed out on a credit card or something.

Question

So how important is it to have automotive credit? Even the dealers I'm dealing with have said as long as there's a FICO score, and it's good, that means there's credit history they can work with.

Well generally the assumption is if you have a strong FICO you have good payment history, but it is like Dave said all subjective.

The finance manager I spoke to when I bought my G37 said that Tier 1 was 720+, Tier 2 was 650-720, and Tier 3 was 'somewhere lower'. But he said at the time that Tier 1 and Tier 2 were both getting the same financing rates.

So you may not have to be in the top tier to get the best rates.

You won't get approved if you're thinking of leasing a $40k car on your own, unless you can qualify for Signature Graduate with IFS.

Is this the dealer's decision or IFS's?

also.. your past car payment history is very important... especially if you had a nissan / infiniti thru them before... when i get the 37 this summer, it will be my 3rd Nissan lease..... no missed or late payments... that's a bigger deal than credit score.
