Convenience Fee?

So I just went to infinitifinance.com to make my first payment. To my surprise there is a fee to pay with an electronic check! Audi never charged me to pay this way.

Is there any way around this? Can I avoid it if I setup an automatic reoccurring payment? If so, how? Maybe I will just have to mail in a check instead?

If you set up direct debit, they don't charge you. There should be a link on the infinitifinance site with the form you need to fill out and mail in.

Forget the convenience fee ... sign up for scheduled direct debit payments. I was able to do it all online, and nothing had to be mailed anywhere. They take around 5 business days to verify your bank account info, but promised me when I called that I wouldn't be counted late because it was 'their' process. I highly recommend this route because once set up you have something like a +/- 8 day 'window' around your due date to schedule your payment, and there are no late fees if you choose to schedule a payment up to 8 days after your due date.

I think I might know what you're talking about. If I login and click on the Payment button and then click on Payment Accounts I get:

Bank Account
Nickname Bank Name Account Type Account Number Action
Wells Fargo Wells Fargo Checking xxxxxx3624 Verification Pending

How long does this process normally take? Is anything needed from me to complete it? I know with some sites you have to mail them a voided check or verify the two small deposits they make into your bank account.

I got that same display also. Somewhere in the process I remember it seeing that it would take 5 or so business days for 'verification'. I did not have to mail anything anywhere for 'verification'. That 'Signature Directpay' stuff seems to be different from their 'Recurring Payment' function on their website. If you still have questions, you can call them direct. They were very helpful when I called with some questions.

I believe you can also pay using your Discover card.
