Should I or shouldnt I??? Please help!

So heres my dilemma. I might be switching to a new job soon as a Wine Sales Rep. It involves ALOT of driving on a daily basis. The new company does not offer a company car... but they do offer montly car allowance. I was literally 2 days away from buying a G37 until I got an interview with this company. Now... I am seriously debating whether I should get a G37 as my daily driver. Im not concerned about room or anything... im just worried about miles. Does anyone drive in excess of 50-75+ miles every day??? Is it wise to get a G37? Gas will be mostly covered with the car allowance. Any thoughts??

The only thing that you would have to worry about is worn out tires. they get very costly to replace but then again you can get slightly used ones or less expensive ones. are you looking to lease or buy?

Gas and tires should be the only thing you need to worry about. I am one of those people that actually believe the Japanese make excellent cars that last. I know a guy who has a Nissan Maxima with over 300,000 miles and he has only replaced the clutch besides the normal maintenance stuff. I have a Ford Focus with just about 140,000 miles and I have replaced a lot of BS stuff to include things that Ford knew where bad but didn't replace because the time for the part to break was after the warranty period for their car. If gas is not an issue or $250 tires each then get the G.

I think it's pushing to use the G37 as a work car... It's up to you though... Good luck

^^a grand for OEM tires. you can good alternatives, but it will still be expensive. personally, i would not buy a g37 as an outside sales car. if you must have a G, i would go with a g35 sedan.

I'm using my G as a daily driver, asuming it will last 20 years. And my commute is a 100mi round trip. If you're not going to be selling your car, it shouldn't affect you too much.

I agree with Callaway. Sedan is the way to go. Still really fast, same features but better suited as a work car.

Go with the 18" wheel package for the G. A ton more cheaper options for tires.

I have an old Saturn sl2 that i use to get back and forth from the airport. If it breaks down then i will just use a cab/service to get back and forth. I travel primarily for work so to me this is my weekend car.

I wouldn't worry about it much. You could drive 100 miles a day for work and it only adds up to 25k a year. Plus, if you're going to spend that much time in a car, make sure it's a nice one.

I do 140 mile round trip each day...and I don't get any company allocation....

this car not only provides some interesting moments by virtue of the power...but it is quiet and comfortable too...and with enough electronic gizmos to keep you happy on long drives..

like others said though...tires and gas should be considered...

if however you need to carry stuff for your appts...take note that putting anything...even a briefcase... into the back seat is a pain in the a$$....that's where the sedan might be the better choice...

good luck with your decision!
