My rule of thumb is $500 over invoice and nothing more especially when it has been out this long. You can get better though. Take a look at Edmunds to get invoice pricing. Remember when you go in to look or buy the car, let them know how much you are going to pay. If they don't want to accept your offer (most won't) then leave. Most of the time they will stop you or call you to try to deal.

 

In SoCal there've been many people getting invoice for a while now, just email their internet departments & telling them you want it for invoice, & no hidden fees. Someone will accept.
