My dealings today/ offers

The best offer I could get out of four dealers in my state was $39,217 out the door, including tax (7%),tag and title. Payments being at $525 after the $10,000 down payment I plan to put down, at 2.9% for 63 months. This is for a G37 sport coupe 6MT with Premium package only. That's all I want.

So what do you guys think about that? All other offers were about, monthly payments wise $540 and up from other dealers. Trying to make purchase tomorrow.

IMO, I will put 0 down and put that 10k into a CD.

I am using your total $39217. If you do $0 down with 39217 financed @ 2.9% 60 Months. You save about $755 in interest with 10k down payment.

However, if you stick that 10k into 60 Months INGDirect CD (4% right now), you will get $2166.53 in interest once the CD expires.

I already have more than plenty of other investments as of. But I need to put the least 10k for my payments (also the max as of now). Reason is I want my Volks soon.

But I would just like to hear you guys opinions on my thread topic?

It looks ok to me, not that great though especially if you are putting $10000 down and have no trade-in.

To know if you really got a good deal, you should know what the invoice price is (supposedly what the dealer paid for it). Check edmunds.com for it. You should be able to get invoice. The problem with OTD prices is different states have different taxes & fees.

from my calculations I came up with 38641 at invoice with destination charges and your taxes. so your paying around 600 over invoice..I would say that is a good deal..

Well, I ended up buying the car today. I ended up with only paying $150 over invoice. Plus the car had spoiler on it. I didn't know that yesterday. Taxes for me where 7%. Very happy with the deal.

So I ended up with the sport coupe 6mt, premium package and spoiler. Black on black. Sharp IMO. This car handles so well. Never been in such a great car. I wished I owned the G over the Z years back. But it was great to own a turboed Z, before I totaled it. Thanks for you guys help.
