If you wait only 6 months and buy the 09 right when it becomes available, you will likely pay more than the deal you can get on an 08 right now...

I don't mind waiting a little bit, I basically have before March 31 to decide since I am going to fully finance the car for 2.9%/60 Months and I don't have much cash on hand either.

As of now I do not think 09 price will be as high as 08 when it came out since the economy is going down.

The price on the 08 models just went UP, and that is with the horrible economy. I can't imagine that the price for the 2009 is going to go down. I haven't seen the price for a new model be lower than the prior model year price- that would make absolutely no sense. I'd buy one now.

If you think you can get an 09 for less than an 08 at the time of release, you're sadly mistaken. I think the only way you have a chance is if you go through VPP.

There won't be many changes to the 09 model anyway, BUT they'll have the self-healing paint, which I do think is pretty nice. Not sure if it'll justify the extra $$$ on the price tag.

If u r going to lease an 08 after the 09 comes out u might actually end up paying more if Infiniti decides to drop the residuals on the 08. Just something to consider.

A Q for you guys, with the way the economy is shaping up, what do u think happens to the residuals ? Do u think they will drop in a recession or will they go up considering more people will hunker down and buy used cars instead of new ones ?
