I'm getting ready and ready to buy my G37 a week from tomorrow (going on vacation). The dealer I have been talking to said that there is no place in the country that has basic (no options) G37 Coupe Sport 6MT in a black obsidian with graphite leather interior. That's according to his computer that list all dealers invetory, according to him. Is this possible? I have a hard time thinking that all models here in the states are fully loaded. He stated I'd have to order one. That no problem either, just wondering if someone here could also confirm this?

Just don't care to have the Premium/ Nav packages and any other package or option. I just feel I don't need them or want them. It's not much about price either. Just want the standard.

 

Its not impossible but that's going to be a rare car. Not much sense in making a whole lot of those.. You might want to consider AT LEAST the Premium package.

 

I can't confirm it but that actually would not surprise me. First the majority of models are easily Journey's, so these would probably offer the greatest variety of options out there in various configurations. So to narrow that down to 6MT is one thing, but then to include no additional packages is another. Not to say that the population on this forum is in anyway accurate of the total population of G owners, but here I've only heard of one person with a base Journey no packages, I haven't seen one for a 6MT yet. How long is the wait time for a build currently? I would expect late spring?

 

It's possible. I asked for a Athens Blue withs specific options and of course, none to be found.

Ordering is better, except for the wait.

 

According to dealer it would take 60 to 90 days, but sometimes or most, it doesn't always go as plan.

If I decide I can't wait, I'll bump up a couple of options to help my cause.

Are they black on black though? I told them to look everywhere.

 

While I understand that it is completely your choice, I would at the very least consider the premium package, that in my opinion is an absolute must have for the car.

I would probably take his word. Since you are looking for a base 6MT black/black. You will probably have to go ahead and order it.

It might be a win-win for you. I remember back in 2004 when I ordered my brand new G35 coupe, I got the premium package for free since the factory included it.

I believe him. lining up everything you want can be hard. For example, most dealers in NC only carry a few 6mts, and maybe one black, while others seem to have none. As of a few hours ago, I am having a black/black, 6mt, premium, shipped from a few states away. I looked at dealerships in several states and could not find this particular model. The dealer found a few. The black/stone was nice but it is not what I really wanted so I am having one shipped in.

I agree that premium is worth the price.

 

The salesman I working with, found two BLK/BLK 6mt premium and one base with sunroof/moonroof as of today. There out of state. Doesn't matter though. I can't do anything as of now. Going on vaction tomorrow.

 

That is funny. I believe there were 3 6mt black/black, premium, in the Eastern U.S., until around 1 pm today. (For some reason, they only found 2 yesterday) Then I bought one of the 3 and took it to 2.

 

There most likely the same ones. I will most likely be purchasing mine a week from today. I already have two meetings to meet with some salesmen that day. I'm walking in, giving them my number and my offer and leaving reguardless if they agree with it or not.
