How much?
I've been seriously considering getting a G37 here as my next car. When I bought my G35 3 years ago, I never planned on taking it to the level I have. I also didn't plan on having 82k miles on a 2004. What makes it worse...my car is KBB at 16k tade-in and 18k private sale. That is pathetic!
I have been by my local Infiniti dealer and have seen the MSRP prices anywhere from 40k-42k. BUT I hear plenty of how they aren't selling and I don't see too many around (I know, I know....it's still a new car).
I had a friend call me the other day. The local Inifiniti dealer offered him $3k+ on what his trade-in is worth and said the G37S with the Premium package would be $37,xxx.
So how much have you all paid for your G37?

my last quote was 389 over invoice 1362 down minus 500 rebate=862. It comes out to be 530 w prem/navi/sport/net/ trunk mat/ splash guards/ all season mats/ kicks/ spoiler. My dealer said it comes out to be 100 under invoice. Im more likely going to close it.
That's a smokin deal vinny, and I'd jump on it if it were nearer to me.
I can do about 800 over invoice on a coupe through the end of this month, plus you're getting the rebate money on top of that. Let me know if you aren't getting that in your area and I'll be glad to work something out for ya here in Houston.

Whaddup Ryan? I just paid almost $1,000 over invoice for mine. Came out to $40K and some change plus they threw in $1,000 on my down payment, some Infiniti loyalty program they have right now. GO FOR IT!!!
I would have to agree with Diamond, and would also never recommend you use KBB to appraise your trade. Your vehicle is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it, and unfortunately KBB doesn't cut checks for trades... it's really unfortunate considering they inflate their numbers to get more traffic to their site to further inflate what they charge for banner ads.
If you don't like what the dealer gives you for your trade, take it to Carmax. If they don't give you more, take what the dealer gives you. If they give you more, see if the dealer will meet the same value as Carmax. Simple.

I also paid $500 over invoice for my fully loaded G37S.

please understand that in sales, people want to make deals. salespeople dont want to haggle for days on end. if you show that you are willing to buy, they want to close you. you need to very simply allow them to do that for you. tell them exactly what you want. if you dont play games with them, they will play minimal games with you. it really makes the whole process much faster and enjoyable for everyone if you just tell them that if they do X for you, you will buy their product right now. ball is now in their court, they say yes, they say no, or they counteroffer. you need to say "no" to the counteroffer, and walk out if they try that. if the place u went to for the product wont give you what u want at a certain price, someone else will. you just have to consider how much time and effort you are willing to spend to get that price.
example: i wont drive to a different shopping mall 30 mins away to save $3 on a cell phone charger, but i will drive 1 hour out of my way to save $1200 on my car (which is what i did).
took about 4 minutes of haggling. it was very simple. the salesperson offered me MSRP minus $400. i told him that he just wasted my time coming to the dealership, and i came to make a deal. that number is a joke. he asked me what number i wanted. he told me that he is not saying i can get it, but what would make me happy. i gave him a numbe. he came back and said okay. - easy enough?

if you want to limit your risk with the low value of high mileage used cars then go with a lease. if you're worried about high mileage then purchase extra miles up front. you'll wind up taking less risk, will cost you less out of pocket and you know what all your costs will be up front.
