What would you do if you were me ??

Alright here's my story . . . .

I'm 26 years old, single and no child, lives with parents. I am a first year registered nurse and I make about $55K annually

-currently drives a 2007 FJ Cruiser, I pay 600/monthly including insurance (no down payment). Had it for 16 months now.
-I have no debt, no bills, but I do help with the utilities at home.
-Fell in love with the G35 while in college but couldn't afford it then.

I've been on this site since it launched and was totally set on getting the G37 early '08. My initial plan (A) was to sell the FJ and put a good down on the G37 so my monthly on the G would be similar to the FJ. I figured I would be paying about 700/monthly,including insurance.

Now that the time has come, I am having "cold feet" on purchasing the G37.

Here's my plan (B):
Keep the FJ, save and by mid 2008, I should have enough to completely purchase a used 6MT 04-05 G35. So my monthly payment would around $700 as well ($600 for the FJ, about $100 for the G35's insurance)

I do like the idea of having 2 cars to choose to drive daily, but the G37 is just on another level.

I know that the final decision is mine to make, but I want to know what choice you guys, put in my position, would make.

Sorry for the long a$$ post.
Thanks for your time.

Get the G37. The G37 has so many additional touches that the G35 doensn't which I think you'd end up regretting.

G37 is a great car, a different class from the G35 (IMHO). You should get this car. Single, no child, professional, 26, nice income. You really need this car. The chicks will dig it. If you are into chicks.

i'd say buy it...but u'll be losing quite bit on ur fairly new FJcruiser

i wouldn't keep the FJ and have a G...that's just too much money...either 1 or the other...or the G and something alot cheaper than the FJ

i'm in the med field too, and i know u nurses make pretty good money and have lots of potential to make even more

NAM: Yeah, I already know that I'll be losing out if I end up selling tha FJ. Probably around 4-6K. And yes, I can easily make $60-$80K / year if I was to move to the mainland. I've been receiving recruitment mails from several mainland hospitals and the military.

RedHerring: I'm leaning towards the G37, just because of the "chicks will dig it" factor. LOL!

Well, actually, I'm leaning towards the G37 now. I figured, why not get the car I want, right now! I'm also saving and invest on a condo so I can move out soon. And I don't need 2 cars right now.

Thanks for the replies!

You should have no problem getting a G37. Without knowing what else you spend you money on monthly I couldn't safely say you could have both cars but do know you are correct in knowing that you will loose $4-5k selling the other car.
