What should i do ?

I will have saved up enough by March for 50% down to finance the G. I understand that delivery would take around 90 days, so should i go in to the dealer and put down a deposit to order my car? This will ensure that by March the car will be delivered and i can go to the dealership then to finalize the deal. Or would that defy they whole purpose of neogtiation since im already telling them that i want the car by putting down a deposit.

All suggestions welcome.

Negotiate the price of the car, then worry about financing deposits etc. I'd start emailing dealers in your area, tell them what options you want and what your willing to pay. I sent out about 10 emails and found 500 over invoice, for about 15 minutes work not bad.......

fwiw I ended up ordering my car at invoice through a referral from someone on this site. You do have some time to work because I believe they order cars the first week of the month

There are 24 G37 cars on the lot of my closest dealer. The next one about 20 miles away has 32 on the lot.

Why would you be ordering one at this stage?

The dealer I went through was only willing to do invoice on cars on the lot or cars ordered. Which makes sense because they make more on the hold back by moving the cars quickly. They did not have the car I wanted in stock, which suits me fine because I'd rather get through most of winter before taking delivery.

That's right. I found there are many cars on dealer lots that did not have Athens Blue, and if they did, it was either in the wrong color interior or had too many options which were unnecessary.
