I saw the Blue Slate at a local dealer today, just coming off the truck this past week. May I say..tempting.

My wife asked, "Are you going to talk to it?"

So I get out to take a look at that color, very different. I've never seen a color like this. It makes all the chrome bits and the wheels pop out more than usual. It makes the car look more compact and agile. it has a bit of Aston Martin hint to it being such a low-key color.

But alas, I could not go for something like this even though it had my options - graphite interior, 6MT, though lack of a spoiler, it looked nice and it also had the nav package. I had to stick with my Athens Blue choice and I knew it was only a matter of time.

 

Blue Slate is classy, isn't it? I was torn between it and IP.

I think it helps for a "sleeper" car and maybe less attention from Hwy Patrol. It also seems to be more a more uncommon color, which I like.

 

I was surprised when I saw Blue Slate at the dealership. It had a lot of purple in it and looked very unique.

My first choice was Athens too but since they are so rare (with the packages and options I wanted) I decided not to wait the month+ to get it. Got the Blue Slate and yes it sure does have that "Aston Martin" look to it! My gf says its a better blue since its not so "loud." Although everytime I see an Athens Blue coupe I almost wish I waited ; [

 

There's a bit too much grey to it and it's a little too dark. If there were more blue in it, I would've reconsidered.

 

I picked up my SB because I couldn't wait on an Athens. It has definately grown on me though. The perceived color changes a lot depending on the level of ambient light.
