Lightbulb Hard to find Athens Blue!

I checked-in with my local dealer, and he said that the Athens Blue is quite difficult to locate. This is what I was looking for:

G37S-6MT
Athens Blue
Premium Package
Graphite interior
Spoiler

Dealer said that they're won't be one *exactly* until /perhaps/ next year.

He also said invoice pricing is unlikely as they've sold all they've had in stock (no blue) as they are trickling in. There's at least 4 on the road right now in the area.

I was looking to buy if only a deal's to be had, but I'm thinking now I can wait. With gas prices going up and the general market slowing a little bit, I'm guessing the rate could drop further next year to stimulate some growth. And just in time for better deals to be had.

Thoughts?

Curious: Where is there a dealer selling the new G at invoice?

As far as spending bux like $1K or more for transport I am not willing to do that. That's a deal-killer in my book . I dare say the majority of folks on this forum are likely to feel the same way.

Me, I'm willing to play the "waiting game" to get exactly the car and color I want.

You must be new here.

There are indeed many places to get them at invoice. I'm just disappointed..a little bit, that there isn't an Athens Blue with the options I like.

Infiniti at Fairfield is one place..and there's another one too..just look around this forum. There's also the story of someone using fleetrates.com and got a great deal.

The problem is that getting the exact car will take time. Maybe now more dealers will order the blue so I can get it for invoice.

Have you thought about ''ordering'' ? (that is the only way that i know of other than chasing it down across the country) and you can get just the options you want in the color you want.

I paid $500 over invoice but only because I had to go 3 hours away to get it and he still beat the price in other places.

but If you tell a dealer I want this car, and this color for Invoice, He will give it to u, play the waiting game and dont keep calling them or answering calls

Yeah, but that's too easy.

And it won't necessarily get me invoice pricing..unless someone knows of a place??

Ok Kenny,

Now that my initial shock has subsided, can you please tell me what the options are on the incoming car?

i have to admit go4gr8, it is hard b/c it's supply and demand.... Infiniti is offering so many damn packages now that there's only so many vehicles out there. plus the supply build even if we order them us as a dealer have issues we can't control -- a very limited supply of spoilers, a huge amount of splash guards and illuminated kick plates (all G37's will have kickplates probably), and so on... i'll PM you the details on the vehicle later on
