5.09% is an excellent rate for a bank or credit union loan considering that the average rate for a new car loan is about 6.5% for people with excellent credit. While it is not as good as the special promo rate, you still have a really great rate. If you're still concerned about the overall interest costs of your loan, consider making extra payments on the principal, which will reduce the amount of interest that you are charged.
