Please help with vpp...South Florida...

Hi everyone:

I am supposed to take delivery on Thursday afternoon on a new G37.

I have an 05 G35 Coupe that I owe 4K on due to mileage and payments.

Here is the deal they offered me.

The new car has the following options

G37 Journey
Prem Pkg
Spt Pkg
Rear Spoiler
Cargo Mat
SPlash Guards

They claim the VPP price is 38995. This seems a bit high to me as I got somewhere in the neighborhood of 38300. They claim the difference is in advertising fees and dealer prep fees. Does this make sense?

The new lease is :

39 months
15K a year
3500 total out of pocket
MSRP: 41575
Money factor: .00285
Residual:61 percent

$574 per month plus tax

I am supposed to do the deal Thursday afternoon but now im unsure. Thanks for your help!!!

Hmmm, seems kinda high.... I got my G37S - Sport package, premium package, NAV, trunk may, cargo net, and splash guards - 42,025 MSRP. VPP - $38,800. I got it at Sawgrass Infiniti.

Also, you are better leasing for 24 months, as it will be a much cheaper payment. The money factor is the same, but the residual is 75%. ASK THEM TO QUOTE YOU A 24 MONTH LEASE!

Same dealer for me. It just seems like it is off about 700 dollars. I know that isnt a ton of money but it does change my payment a bit.

Trendy, i got the same car but the MSRP was 43,400, unless you have the 6MT ? But you said you got the sport package, so you must have got the 5AT ?

Dan,
For your car, i think the VPP should be around 38,500. The dealer is hiding a $450-500 fee for extra profit....tell them to drop it

As for Trandy26's car, i am very curious about it since if his MSRP were right, then i over-paid . But my window sticker verifies my MSRP of 43,400 though.

When i was shopping for an S4, the Audi dealer also added $500 to the invoice price saying that was ad and prep fees. They said Audi does it. I havent heard Infiniti does that though. But either way, from the postings on this forum, nobody mentioned about this $500 dealer ad fee yet when they bought their G37 using VPP. I think you should check with a couple more dealers. They better drop this !! Good luck.

Yes, but there are different levels of VPP as well. For instance, my employer is a supplier so we qualify for the VPP-D plan. There is also A, B, and C as well.

I was told that there was no extra fee's like ad fees or prep fees from using the vpp plan, I had asked these type of question before i put my deposit down on my order and they had assured me that with the vpp there are no dealer fees.....either that or i was miss led by the sales ppl.

Sorry, I got G37S - Which includes sport package in it.... Extras were NAV, Premium package, Splash guards, cargo net, and trunk mat.. MSRP $42,025. Only extras were $180 for pinstripe, wax, and wheel locks... (All Bull$hit, since I had them take the pinstripe off, and didnt need the car waxed either - I do it myself) But, didnt have time to argue over it, and I did get a good chunk off MSRP with the VPP. $38,800, nothing extra on it....
