But you're still paying the money one way or another. Why not put the money in the bank account and earn interest. Then you can draw off the account and pay the lease.
Plus if you total the car, you'll be screwed and never be able to recoup the cap cost reduction.

Step 5: Decide how much money to put down
The answer is none! Never put money down on a lease. Here’s a true story to explain why.
A customer once leased a Toyota 4Runner and put $3,000 down as a cap reduction. Five months later the vehicle was totaled in an accident. The owner of the car paid his deductible and his insurance company paid its portion of the lease payoff and Gap Insurance paid the remaining balance. The owner did not recover his $3,000 down payment. That money can never be returned.
If you want to lower your payment and have some cash for a down payment, I recommend you put the money into a simple savings account. Use a portion of it each month to help make your lease payment. If something happens to your car, you will be able to walk away from the lease and still have the leftover funds in your savings account.
Finally, any down payment on a lease is taxable.

yeah that's about right.... $30/thousand... X $6,000 = $180 + $474 = $654/month.... if you put nothing down... which is about what they are going for right now.
which is INSANE.

those numbers would be right if the MSRP was correct. I used your website and put in the numbers and the dealership is actually a tad lower.
Recently I have been talking with them more and got a new deal.
$3500 down
$525 a month

u might as well go ahead and buy this car... and save the rest of the $ to hook it up... via rims and speaker system....
Even when I put like 8-10K down on this car to own the payment is still high and its only a hundred buck difference with just 3K down..... so I wouldn't drop anymore than 3K down and invest the rest into rims and speakers and most likely a INTAKE! to start
