Spoke w/my salesperson yesterday. She said the car does not necessarily have to be in stock. You can order the car, which can take approx 14 weeks....the deal just has to be finalized by 11/30 to get the 2.9% for 36 mo or 3.9% for 48 or 60 mo.

I have a feeling, the finance offer will run through december as well.

My friend just bought a 335i and put down about half as a down payment. He got 4.5 or 4.9% (I forgot which one), which I thought was pretty decent. He told me that since he put down a sizable down payment (a tad over half the MSRP), the dealership gave him that rate anyway, even though his credit history isn't that long. Anyway, I'm in a similar situation where I don't have much credit history (almost 2 years...the consequence of not having a credit card during college), but I've never had a late payment and I use my card regularly. Do you think Infiniti would still offer me the 2.9 or 3.9% if I put down half as well?

How would you any of you go about getting this financing rate in my situation. Went in last Saturday, 10/28 and located my car which they had in stock. Signed the papers on Tueday with a 5.09% financing rate which I thought was excellent and then Infiniti comes out with the 3.90% rate. I emailed my financing rep but he told me because the papers I signed were in there wasn't anything I could do. Is this true?

Has anyone tried getting pre-approved for the discounted APR using Infiniti.com? If so, will it tell me right away if I qualify for the lower rate or just that I qualify? Once pre-approved, do you print a confirmation number and take it to a dealer?

thanks.

I don't know for sure about Infiniti but for most low APR offers you'll probably need to have a credit score of 750+ or thereabouts. Also a debt-to-income ratio that's not too out of whack.

I got approved for it at my local dealer for the 2.9%/3 year. But I'm probably gonna get the G from Hussain. We spoke on the phone twice but he hasn't replied to my email or PM yet....!!

1st sales person at my local dealer told me I needed credit score of 780-810 to qualify which I think was total BS. Because he came up with that number after he found out my credit at 760 or so and the fact that to have 780+ is pretty damn hard, you'd need years of credit. I think he was trying to pull a fast one on me because I went in by myself and I'm a young guy (@#$%^). Too bad he didn't know I did all my hw. When I went back the second time and spoke with someone else, he said I'd qualify for the rate, no problem. One of my friend in San Jose also told me that you only needed 730 to qualify and that all Infiniti deal should honor that (words from his local Infiniti sales rep).

Hopefully I can work out my deal with Hussain soon because I want that low APR!
