Hello!

Not sure where the "hey n00b introduce yourself" postings go.

But I just joined. Ever since the G37 was announced I couldn't believe how obsessed I started becoming. So I joined to get more information, specifically on pricing, what people are paying, how they like it, etc.

Current driving an '02 RSX-S. I love the car. It does what it does really well. Its my first car that I have ever bought on my own. All paid off, and no car payments feel REALLY nice.

But I can't stop thinking of how to make monthly payments on the G37 lol.

Someone help me!

Anyways, looking forward in being a member and G37 owner in the future!

Welcome Iron Chef of pounding Japanese Cars!

I got a FULLY loaded black on black 6MT G37S which had a sticker of 45k but I was able to get them to go down to about 43K which was a decent 2k discount. I put 11G down on car and financed it cosigned with my dad at a 5.80% interest rate which is average. my payments are around $620/month still but I pay like $1,000+payment each time in effort to chip away at that nasty principal of around $33K! Also for insurance I piggybacked on my parents policy so its insured under them and I am a "occasional driver" on it even though Im the primary on an old Honda Beater we have at home. That saved some cheddar too....

GOOD LUCK!

Well, welcome to the forum. I was not able to make a deal and paid MSRP for my G37S premium. The good thing is that I have no payments.
If you have to ask yourself, "how will I pay for this" perhaps you should wait untill you no longer have to ask that question.
It is a great car, but it is only a car. The value will only decrease over time. With the money you save over the course of the next year from not having to make car payments, you may not have to worry, and I'm sure the G37 will still be there. Just my 2 cents.

Cyberjock4hire:

I know that it is just a car (a great one at that!) I came to realize that no matter how much I mod my RSX, you're never going to get any investment out of it, and it is just a car. I think the allure was that it was my FIRST car that I purchased myself, so I wanted to go crazy...to an extent.

I am pretty sure I can afford the payments myself, but yeah, having the extra cash from not having to pay for a car is really nice. One less thing I have to worry. I think I have a pretty strong head on my shoulders financially, and won't go over my head if I know I can't afford it...

Guess I'll have to dream for the time being!

What cars did people come from before they purchased the G37, and what were the reasons for getting it?

Hey CRSX dood.

I think I've seen you post around the boards as well. I am actually a mod there for the motorcycle subforum...I've been around there for quite some time...but good to see familiar names!

Hello. And welcome

Here's a thread I posted with some good info that could help you out... I have some numbers figured out in there too for my situation, could be used as an example for you to see how to set yourself up.
