Anyone else having a bad time with their dealer?

Ok people, I am having some major issues with the Infiniti dealership here in Colorado Springs. When Infiniti started to allow the dealerships to order their allocations a couple months ago, I contacted one of the dealerships in Denver and one in Colorado Springs where I live. The dealership in Denver told me their allocation was already spoken for but they could order me one and it would get here mid September. I then called the Colo Spgs dealer and they told me they had only had one allocation accounted for and if I came in that day they could get one I wanted. I went in and they order what I wanted and I put down a thousand dollar deposit (the first one to put down a deposit) and they told me it should arrive the first week of September at the latest. So of course I went with the Colo Spgs dealer. Well I went in their today because I knew that the dealerships have gotten their first allocation and I called the Denver store and they told me they got theirs. My sales guy who has been very helpful and has keep me up to date told me a week or two ago that his manager (the guy who orders the cars) has a release date on my car of October. October is not acceptable. I went in their today hoping that this was a mistake and to see if they had their allotment. I went into the show room and my sales guy (Chris) is off on a test drive with a customer so I waited around for him. Another sales guy comes up to me and says that he should be able to help me (they know my face down there since the Aug 16th unveiling and such). He pulls out his list of G37s they got and I asked if if they had my car. He looks and doesn't find anything. He then starts smiling and telling me about an 08 IP that he sold earlier and comments to me that there is now one out there. Now I am a little ticked. He takes me over to the manager guy (Jim) and he of course nows me by name because Chris has been bugging him daily about when my car will get their. The manager tells me it still shows October. Now I am even more pissed because I called the Denver dealer and they tell me they can get me what I want in the first week of September. I waited around for the sales guy I have been dealing with. He gets there and I ask him about my car because the manager (Jim) tells me October and that is unacceptable. I tell him that the dealer in Denver tells me they can get me one the first week of September. He takes me over to Jim and I tell him what Denver told me and he tells me they are probably just lying to me and trying to hook me in (sort of like you). He then goes on to tell me that he wasn't aware that I wanted one when it first came out. It really irritates me when I have someone lying straight to my face like this. I can accept if someone made a mistake but then to BS me like I am an idiot is just pathetic. Who the heck puts down $1000 dollars two months before the release and ask for one of their allocation cars and then wants one a month and a half after the release date??? The truth is that when Infiniti cleared out those sales of the G37 the last couple of times this Jim guy didn't put in the orders again or just forgot about mine. Jim then tells me that he will look at getting me one on Monday. I am a little ticked right now. The Denver store calls me up and their Internet sales guy tells me that he can get what I want. He then leaves me a message telling me that he can get what I want as long as I put down a deposit. Now I am just getting sick and tired of these Infiniti dealerships. I was going to pay MSRP for this car and I was going to be ok with it BUT now since I am not going to be getting it when it first came out. Now I am not going to pay MSRP. This car is not worth it. I was one of the biggest supporters for this car but these dealerships are ruining it for me. I dislike the weight of the car but everything else I think is great especially the interior. I just might be looking at getting a BMW 335i, Chevy Corvette, or just what for the GTR. I hope you all are having better experiences with who you are working with. I think I might need to pm da mayor... I think I will be emailing my sales guy to let him know that I might be going elsewhere thanks to his manager.

They dont wanna admit their mistake it seems. They def fudged up.
The place i put a deposit down at, has been out of touch with me. My sales guy and the GM never returned my Voice mails and emails.

A diff guy at a diff dealership with whom i DONT have a deposit has been keepin me in the loop bout everything, inviting me for a early test drive when they got their sample car.

I finally went in person to my original dealership, and told them bout the 2nd dealership. They got scared and offered $500 service department voucher, and printed out my cars VIN # and stuff with the ETA.

Im just waiting for something to go wrong tho.
Sooo... be calm about it when u talk to them, just ask the process of gettin ur deposit back and mention other dealership names. dont be afraid to go out of state. They should want to keep ur business.
Good luck man, keep us posted.

Well, I already told you that I am in the same boat as you on the other website. Your situation is almost exactly like mine. But I complained a lot to the manager and my sales guy and told them this is BS. I seriously pitched a fit. And I didnt care if I looked stupid either bc this is the First new car that I am buying, and the first $40+ car as well and I have been treated better by other cheaper dealerships by far. I told my salesman that the only reason that I even came to this dealership was bc of him in the first place. Bc he was really knowledgable when I met him at the car show and I hate salesman that dont what the hell they are talking about. But his manager keeps lying to me, so far it has been 5 times that I know of. Anyways, after I through a fit for the 3rd time about recieving my car a month later than expected, they said they would work with me on the price. They are throwing in the illuminated kickplates for sure, and prob the RoadGuard & something else. This helps ease the pain a little bit but I am still really upset. And they told me when I first ordered my car that I would be THE FIRST car coming in the JAX area. So they knew how much I wanted it. The manage keeps telling me that he has been calling/emailing the Distribution mgr and everyone else higher up about me and that everyone knows my name and that I need my car now. I will have to resubmit for my loan again because of the delay. If I didnt like this car so damn much, I really wouldnt be buying it.

i'll vouch b/c Infiniti internally screwed us up --- on the g35driver i did post how they changed the nav package to include the rearview monitor, not in the tech pkg.... also a problem w/ the suppliers so we still have preordered vehicles not arriving to our dealers yet while unsold units are here. we are working hard to accommodate everyone as much as possible.

Sorry to say, I am glad it wasnt just my dealership. It makes me doubt them.
I still dont understand why Infiniti would f*** this stuff up. It just makes me worry about the rest of the car and what other last minute changes that they didnt make. And what will be recalled.

This is the beauty of the internet Bboysteele. No matter how you get screwed over, somebody somewhere else gets screwed over even more and talks to you and us about it on the internet.

If you can hang in there till October, I hope September really flies through for ya. But, if not then you may have to take the "other measures" you quoted. Just be reassured in knowing the "O-factor = Other Factor" when it comes to the internet.

I tried going somewhere else to get my car but my dealer checked the whole east coast for a car like mine and there was none coming in until 9/7 at the earliest. But I saw mine on the list and it says it is "SIT" which means it is on the boat. Since I am right next to the port, they said I would be able to get it immediately considering that my dealer has been on the phone with "Rose" who is the person that "makes things happen" in transporting. So hopefully I should be able to get it 2 weeks early. I know that it takes 8 days to get across the atlantic from Greece. And as of the 17th, my car showed SIT. So at the earliest it would have been the 24th. I plan on calling tomorrow to see what the status is........ I warned them before that I wasnt some stupid blonde girl.

Hey Heat, I heard that once it is on the boat they would have your VIN# then. Have you got that yet? I was told once they start crossing the ocean they release the number. Not sure if this is true or not but that is what I was told.

NNA means it is at the Port waiting to be delivered to your dealer. You should be receiving it within a couple days.

Over the weekend I wrote an email to the sales guy about the way I have been treated. He called me on Monday apologizing for the dealership. He called me today and they are going to have my car next week.
