The VH1 Behind The Music of project; Feels Like DeathRow

The Beginning; 2012 G37 Sedan journey (7A/T)

the day she came home April 29 2021 found it on OfferUp, of all places. 10,000 for a 2012 infinity g37 journey 7 speed auto, 91,000 miles on her clock. she had Some gloss black 19x9.5/11 STR’s and badly matched staggered tire set up 245/45/19 and 295/30/19. Other then that bone stock.

1st things 1st, I had to get every window in the car blacked out with ceramic tint every window is 2% the windshield is 20% with 2% 8inch brow sunroof 2% over factory and last but not least 50% on the outside rear view mirror’s. Now that my eyes were good now on to making her sit in the weeds.

This came from tein lowering springs that brought her down 2” full inches still on factory struts, just for now a nice set of coilovers I’ll be in her future.

The car originally came from Arizona, really I’m the 2nd owner. Well the Arizona sun took its toll on the clear coat, it started bubbling pretty good. I picked up some gloss black Avery Dennison vinyl wrap to take care of that issue. I also wanted to give her an update look, plus the bonus of doing vinyl. I’ve done just about everything myself car and truck related, but vinyl this was my 1st time. Didn’t come out to bad, not one bubble or wrinkle, “glass”

Next up

the B pillers were faded pretty bad, so I ordered some gloss black 3M, because it’s got a soft clear cap that I could leave on, do the full install then pull it off and no scratches. So I bought about 12 yards, once I did the roof I started wrapping everything I could get my hands on. My 15 teen year old son it lucky I didn’t wrap his lil ***. Hahahaha I seen the chrome trim delete people hand done so I figured one more thing to wrap. “Right” lol

I swear, in this moment in time I should have found a group, “wrappers Anonymous” Hahahaha. All the aluminum trim in the interior was to much for me, and I thought it made her look a bit cheap. I’m gonna do my best at keeping her looking like a luxury sports sedan. Once again it’s vinyl to the rescue, I ent back to Avery Dennison, “I really like working with their product. The color choice was black brushed aluminum. It looks like a black stainless steel fridge, i did the hole center console, all for doors, the hole dash trim. Even did my key fob to match

Now she’s starting to look like a classy brod. Haha now tires I hade to do something about this goofy staggered set up the previous owner had. So in came some Michelin tires 265/35/19 295/30/19, I don’t even remember what model they were. Spirited driving made sure those didn’t last long at all. Between Northern California’s twisty high Sierra roads and East Oakland’s sideshows every weekend. I may have gotten 3 months outta them, that includes flipping them from camber wear. Hey I was having fun and learning how to really drive this car, controlled chaos theory.

Really didn’t get many pictures of the tires, I was pretty busy, beating her like a east 14th street hooker. (Jokes, their only jokes) have you ever blew a tire comin into a corner, I did came into a 35mph Sierra Mountains corner at about 91mph, getting it!, right hand corner I blew the passenger rear 295 in the middle of the axis of the turn. Around 83mph, well we started dancing I kept her on the road, thank god. See all that Tom fullery At the sideshows came into use with knowing how to really

control her in such a fun experience. And where was the lug nut key you ask, on my damm tool box at least 60 miles away. The only person I have to rely on to bring it to me, my knowledge of nothing wife. Yayyyyyyy😒 The funnest thing about running such an individual tire size is, nobody keeps them in stock that was a 600.00 dollar lesson

Great wrap job on the center console Bloodline! One of the cleanest jobs I have seen on this forum. How did you get the vinyl around the 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 to fit so well?

On my Quest to make a legit sport model clone, of course I had to get paddle shifters. So off the recycle row in rancho Cordova ca. I picked up paddles and the plastic trim around the Steering wheel column. Pricey lil bastards

heated up a piece of steel round bar 1/4 or 5/16 ground the tip down like a pencil, heated it up with the my heat gun and pushed it through the hole. Kinda cauterizing the vinyl as it went through, it’s been year now sense I did that and it still looks the same as the 1st day I installed it.

Interesting. I had a similar idea but with a pen lid. It didn't come out as nice as yours but I guess I never had the heat you had. I'll have to remember that if I ever feel like re-wrapping mine again.

Cheers and thanks for the info

Lake Tahoe California

Northern Nevada

Hwy 88

The biggest **** hole, with the worst people on earth, punk *** Lodi ca

Delta rive roads

Autozone Sacramento lol

I may beat her like a red headed step child, but because of my pre and post checks a very extensive maintenance regimen she is able to take every one of my thrashings I can throw at her.

I like my rides like I like the ladies, clean shaven. Lol

Not gonna lie, after putting in the paddles, it changed the hole car, she has been in manual mode sense the day I installed paddles. One good thing about Northern California, it’s got a road for every driving style. So over the next few months she got 12,000 miles of being “rode hard and put away wet”. From crazy high Sierra Mountains Twisties wet and dry, long straight highways, big city technical chaos, and yes... drifting every chance and place possible. I wasn’t really taking pictures. Here’s a few, I’d have more if my “photographer” could keep up. Lol

I try to at least twice a month to give her a full on safety and maintenance inspection. Looking for anything lose, broken or missing. I try out the newest modification tech I’ve learned about. I am gonna keep it 100 with y’all, I get a ton of ideas, specs, install info and diagnosis information from myg37.com and for that I say a BIG THANK YOU!!! To everyone posting and commenting keeping Forms alive. Forms have been a mainstay in my automotive career and hobby for over 20 year

My experience with the hole “yaw sensor”

long story short, I found a easier way to completely dead the Notorious infinity TCS, and I learned a lot Nissan wiring, sensor layout and ECM.

I used to be big into bagged and body dropped trucks, I was going through some stuff I have in storage and I found my old truck club jacket I started 20 years ago. Bloodline Fulls and Minis, we had some of Northern California dopest bagged and body dropped trucks. so I figured **** it I was the prez and did start the club, why not bring it back as bloodline G’s

I did re work the bloodline logo, give it a fresh look.

I like it but things change the bigger a club gets. Do people still do car clubs?
