BOLT-ON / TUNED G37x SEDAN

Mods:
  • Stillen CAI
  • Stillen CBE
  • OBX test pipes
  • Swift AWD springs
  • G37 coupe rear sway bar
  • 20/25mm spacer set up
  • Admin Tuned - 308WHP

She’s a 2009 w/ 185k miles. Best time so far is 13.6 @ 104.5 MPH. Should be low 13s @ 105+ MPH as that run was before the new tires, exhaust and tune. Picked up 15 WHP and some traction!

Duckfeet look fine dropped and spaced. Your fitment looks good.

And while I think flame maps are kind of silly, the fact that you got that pic is actually all kinds of awesome.

Since you're in NJ, I'm assuming your tune with Moncef was remote. How'd that go? And how many rounds of data logging did you go through?

I like the minimalistic, sleeper look. Props to you!

Thank you! I rarely use the flame map. I do admit it was exciting the first time I tried it...

Moncef did do a remote tune. It took 3 logs and nearly a month before I received the finalized map. I recently had him retune it on the dyno in NY. That was much less time consuming. It took about 20-30 min!

It's the time he takes to reply + you being able to find the time to do the logging, right?

What was it like after applying the first map? The first time you fired it up and took it for a rip... happy, freaked out, concerned, confused? And the subsequent 3 maps... were you aware of the changes after each application?

Asking because I bought the EcuTek kit a few months ago, and earlier this month I bought the license from Moncef. Looking to get the base map from him in about 6 weeks. Been slowly walking into this project one step at a time.

The e-tune contains a 93 “race” map, flame map, eco map and a security map. I obviously smoked the first two maps after getting the tune finalized. I felt a little more top end power which was later substantiated by my 13.6 @ 104.5 run. Previously, my best trap was 103.5 pre-tune. I later got the car tuned on a dyno with Moncef and picked up an additional 11whp with the addition of a CBE. I highly recommend the dyno tune over the e-tune for the experience alone.

Wish Moncef would come to Arkansas lol

also with my mods being similar to yours it further makes me wonder if my dyno was accurate (334/267) because I just did a quarter mile pull and got 13.69 @ 104 MPH. I have stillen catback/intakes and FI RHFC + admintune remote.

Yours is auto right? I don't think there was a g37xs sedan in maunal.

Check your DA and recalculate your time using the drag times calculator. It accounts for conditions on the day of that pass! I’ve attached my time slip of my best trap. Best et was 13.4X.

You are correct. The G37xS is 7AT only. And my 7AT will have to be replaced soon lol How is the sound of your exhaust. Any rasp? I’m thinking of switching out the old OBX test pipes for something else.

Yeah I just used ECUTEK and I wasn't on a drag strip.

I love the way the exhaust sounds. This isn't my video but it's probably the best one to hear this combination:

Since they are HFC and not test pipes I have a burble map instead.
