Smile RatedG's Build Thread!

Whats going on everyone,

A little bit bored at at work so I thought id share a little bit of the process i had.
Got into the car scene was pretty young when the 1st FnF came out and also my older cousins would always have modded civics rsx's etc. So that would already implant the car culture from having grown up and being in the cars while runnin! I've always wanted a s2k since middle school. Had to get something with a back seat for me and my brother. The only reliable non turbo car would be the G!
Got the car back in 09 so this build has continued to date... ALOT of swapping out exhausts(5x)... suspension(3x).... WHEELS (18+ times) and parts in general...---

I didnt really have a direction to go with the car tbh. When I first started modded didnt really wanna touch anything too "deep" into the car. Just wanted a Clean G.

So First mod was:
-HID's back then i think they were Amplified motorsports
-Plasti Dipped Grill
-Bluebat Taillight tint, valence and Roof overlay
-LE CF Mirror Covers

1st Mod: -HID's -Plasti Dipped Grill - CF mirror Covers - Bluebat Overlays!

Next Mod was Sound... Had to make the G sound louder and better.
First exhaust was.... Megan Axle back $350? or somewhere around there? Being fresh out of high school. Shiiit. Give it here! Shortly after, i dont remember the order, but i went with Tanabe --> Invidia, --> ARK,--> MXP --> Litespeed --> ARK V2 --> Fast intentions w/ RHFC LOL.

Interior I actually won a TWM Sponsorship a while back when they did a contest on FB.

Fast forward another year or so.. Lowering time...
Originally bought eibachs, was worried about having to keep messing with the coilovers if i got them.... Ended up selling the eibach springs and bought Tanabe Coilovers... Rode those for 1 year, sold them cause they were too soft. Non Adjustable. Swapped out to Stance coilovers. Great bang for the buck... Rode on them for another few years, then sold. and now im on KWV3!
These were paired with SPC front and rear camber arms. (eventually 1 of the front ball joints went out and had to order a new set.. maybe 5 years in?

----------------------------
The Addiction starts....
Plasti dipped the oem 19's... Ran them with 245/275s hankook v12s. Havent changed tire brands since owning the car!

There was a local Z shop owner... Selling some Volk TE37 Bronze, 8.5/9.5 PRISTINE. He modded the hell out of a Z for his wife who wanted to sell the car.. so i picked them up...

After this set...... started this... LOL https://www.myg37.com/forums/picture...es-corner.html

-----------
Fast Forwarding a calm period.. My GF back then and fiance now got me the IPL front bumper for my birthday i think? Got it painted and put it on the same night the paint work was done!

Eventually Added the IPL Side skirts from a local selling them!

Found a local deal for some IPL headlights w/ housings and TSXR lenses! One thing i've always wanted and was too scared to bake them apart.

After the added black the front was missing some more black action...
Aeroflow would fix this!!

One note in this process. I made it into a child hood 7th grade dream of mine. I MADE IT INTO SUPER STREET!!! LOL even though its only readers rides! When i opened up the magazine on the toilet i **** myself!

Skip around a little more.... Heres my FI exhaust installed + Autokits CF v2 diffuser! Overlays dried out and cracked up.. Need new ones.. Also swapped out to a Hebi bebi ****.

How the G currently sits today.

Mods:

Exterior:
-IPL Front and side skirts
-Aeroflow Aluminum front splitter and side splitters
-Autokits CF v2 diffuser
-CF mirror Covers
-Black Grill

Performance:
-Takeda SRI
-FI Catback + RHFC

Suspension:
-KWV3
-Hotchkis sways
-SPC Rear camber kit

Interior:
-Hebi Bebi
- Leds of course..

I will continue to try to update from this point further with mods... as i never thought id be to this point in modding.

--Future plans...
--JDP Rear CARBON add on spoiler will be here next week!!

--- The last part of the build.....

-Future mods:in order of importance..

2.Put on my SSR's SP3's from the g37..
3.Front Lip / Side skirts
4.Diffuser
5.Headers
6.Tune
