Gotair523 build thread
Hello all,
I recently added quite a few things to my build, and while bored made a before and after photo. It was then I realized the only way to truly appreciate the changes I've done is to create one of these...without further ado:
The day I brought her home, my 2008 G37S 6mt coupe. she had tint put on before I even got it home lol (yay Florida, it's a must)

Followed 2 months later by takeda long tube CAI and then a cusco strut bar and hotchkis sway bars (I never did get a photo of the sway bars)

Then the fun began: bring on the Fast Intentions SS CBE with 12" resonators and RHFC

Following the power add ons, an Uprev tune was needed
.
As a college graduation present to myself I purchased the TWM short throw shifter and ****
.
Here's where things picked up, it was time to change the look of the car. First came a set of tein H-tech springs
Followed by a set of Vossen CV3 wheels 20x10.5 +25 all around
A month later I realized the springs just weren't cutting it and went with stance coilovers

The one thing I've always loved with sportier cars is the look with lower fog lights. This was unfortunately not available on the 2008's. A facelift was therefore needed. I became the first PG to do the 2011+ sport front swap. I felt the IPL was being overplayed and wanted to be different, especially with other coupes in PG color

.
After a few months, it came time swap the wheels, and I changed for the Vossen CVT wheels
.
With new wheels came the realization that something needed to be done with the brakes so the calipers were painted red

Following the calipers being painted red
the rotors had to come next. Insert stoptech drilled and slotted rotors
.
It was at this point, more facelift had to come. I decided to paint my grill black (except the Infiniti emblem) and had my headlights done blacking out the housing and having the shroud paint matched to my color

A few months later, an opportunity arose for me to get my hands on something I'd always wanted but was near impossible but it wasn't made anymore and only 12 were made. When they're on a car being parted out, it's usually called for way in advance and luckily someone stuck to their word with me and gave me that opportunity. I finally got my Motorlux CF Duckbill trunk

Next came time for new wheels again, this time the Vossen VFS1's

.
A long break occurred, one we all know where "eh the car is where we want it and 'were done'" lol. Yea that never lasts.

Following an almost year and a half period of no mods, the bug hit me incredibly hard after helping a friend work on their G with wrapping it, and another buddy buying G and buying parts for his and helping him install. First came a cluster swap for the 2011+ cluster since I hated the red in the earlier one (idk why but I don't have a photo but it was a direct swap, y'all know what it looks like). Then came the autokits-x V2 CF diffuser
Then I went rogue haha. My outter lenses were getting really hazed and showing their age, and one of my ballasts was being temperamental so it came time to have the headlights done again, this time adding new stuff. Due to time constraints the first time, I didn't have the lens professionally recleared but this time, I made sure that I had time for that. Then a fellow forum member went to work. I did the panamara shroud swap paint matched to my car again with CF wrap added to show contrast and added demon eyes to the setup.

Next I decided to swap my takeda long tube intake for Stillen Gen3's
Which brings me to now. Again, an opportunity arose where I couldn't say no. I'd been on coilovers (which will be for sale very soon) and had always loved being static, but after getting stuck one too many times and being unable to go certain places, air ride systems started looking better and better. In came my Airlift Performance series Struts and V2 management with two VIAir compressors, a 5 gallon tank, Hardlines and two water traps.

.
She's come a very very long way. New wheels will be had in the very near future but other than that, besides swapping the management for a height specific management, I can with a straight face say I think I'm finally complete on this project. Only thing left is boost and unfortunately I just don't have the funds for that right now
