Only real hard part is getting the endlinks off, air tools were my savior. Make sure you liberally apply the included grease.

Lower your trunk Fuji by 1".

Color match the chrome trunk lip in Liquid Platinum.

For the AWD Sedan... Swift Lowering Springs.

Heres a list of some Mods I would like to do. Im still deciding on the specifics so look for updates along the way

Power Mods
Magnaflow or Flowmaster exhaust. Im thinking I'm going to just attach a universal exhaust on instead of replacing the whole system. Any recommendations would be great.
K&N or Injen CAI

Magnaflow has a nice stock oem sleeper look but there sound is great in my opinion as for the intake both are great brands which produce about the same performance enhancement

Handling Mods
Hotchkis 22443 Sport Sway Bar Set for Nissan G35X/G37X (AWD) 08+
Any Other suggestions would be appreciated

Amazon.com: Hotchkis 22443 Sport Sway Bar Set for Nissan G35X/G37X (AWD) 08+: Automotive ...
Tools you will need - a rachet set ,tourque wrench and some PB penetrating B'laster

Appearance Mods
Painted black trim- exterior
*
vinyl wrap might cost a bit more but comes out amazing! Here's a reference link to what I'm talking about ...

https://www.myg37.com/forums/g37-cou...-graphite.html -- Aluminum graphite black trim- interior

De-badged (barely a mod lol)
De-badging actually may be considered a mod just a cosmetic one lol alot of people like to keep the Fuji infiniti emblem on there though

Led interior bulbs

very well known name brand and great prices*
Infiniti G37 Coupe LED and HID Lighting

Weather tech floor mats
you can find these all over ebay easy search

Painted front grille

some people consider plasti dip (I'm not a huge fan) but it's cheap and you can always peel it off back to chrome if you want

Window tint- Still deciding on %

5% - crazy dark limo time
20% - fairly dark but not to crazy
30% - more of a classy light tint to the point where you can still see the inside of your car

Hope I was able to help out best of luck and keep us updated with pictures of any future mods! And lastly an official welcome to the forum as a newly purchased infiniti member

Very helpful thank you. Im probably going to get 30%. I was already planning on doing that graphite interior mod, great minds think alike I suppose!

How would you recommend color matching the liquid platinum?
What adhesive product do people use to move their Fuji?

If you don't have the painting skills (few do, I sure don't), then remove the lip and take it to a body shop. Give them your paint code. Odds are they'll charge you one-hour labor + materials to paint and clear-coat. Maybe $100, tops. Make sure the shop you pick is comfortable and experienced with painting over chromed plastic.

For reapplication of badges and decals, 3M Indoor/outdoor mounting tape. Here's a tip: put the tape over the badge underside, and use a pair of cuticle scissors to trim it up appropriately. But really, the best advice is to take your time and not be shy about re-doing the work.

For placement, draw a line with your eye from the bottom of the tail-lights. Look at the space between that line and the bottom edge of your trunk lip. Center the Fuji between that space. It's about a 1" drop.

Thanks for the tips ill be sure to try it. Im going to either color match the lip or just paint it black still on the fence about that one. My buddy has the skills and tools for painting (used to work at a trusted body shop) where would you buy paint that is matched to the body color or is that even possible?

Body shops just get the paint from an auto body paint supply, once they have the paint code they're able to mix up the proper recipe Some larger body shops even have their own paint mixing.
There's also a few companies that sell smaller spray cans and touch up pens based on your color code but these are less likely to be a perfect match.

Also since your car is an 09 depending on how much it's been out in the sun the actual color of your car may now be a shade different than your original color. That's why it's tough to get a 100% perfect match.

Good point. Instead of simply providing the code, you could give them a piece of your car for paint-matching. For example, the fuel door unbolts from the rear fender in about 10 seconds. Now that I think about it, the fuel door is the go-to item for this. The only other thing I can think of is the shark fin.

Don't go black on the lip, Tanner. IMO, it looks pretty tacky that way... like plastidipped badges. Just looks cheap.

Yeah I agree I don't like it too much either. I planned on keeping my badges chrome and doing the trim and grille in black. The lip blacked out reminds me of a Hitler mustache on the back of the car. No offense Rico lol. Actually Rico ive used your car as reference several times for a few exterior mods I've been considering especially those blacked out front lights.

How difficulty was it to black out your lights? Did you end up just buying another housing unit for the lights or did you just paint the existing one?

How exactly did you end up doing it? Paint or just buy a third party housing?

There's a couple DIYs for the lights in the DIY section. If you do decide to DIY your lights allow at least a couple days for the job. You have to remove the plastic light covers after heating them in an oven, it sounds daunting but as long as you just pry the cover off in one corner and then pull the rest up from there it's not hard. I tried prying all over and just left gouges around the plastic housing, didn't work nearly as well as just focusing on one corner.

Be SURE to change your projector lens w/ an STiR lens from theretrofitsource.com this gives a much cleaner look, razor sharp cutoff w/a nice blue lighting edge and looks 10x better in the housing.

It's one DIY mod that really pays off w/ such a dramatic change for the better. You will have to remove the bumper so it is a DIY that you will get to know more about your car

Thanks for the heads up. I was afraid it would be complicated especially because of how tight those lights look in the housing and I was afraid it would be glued. Ill definitely look those up that sounds sweet. I always liked the look of the halo rings but might be a bit flashy (pun intended) for my tastes.
BTW Blnewt I really like your build!
