Steve_ipl Build Log

I purchased my G37 IPL in early April this year and plan to slowly mod the car. I had my eye of this ear since the first G37 came out and was stoked to finally get one.

Here are some of the mods I currently have on the car: Stillen Gen 3 intakes, windows tint, midnight black grille, and Stillen front license plate.

Future mods: Full Mesiterchaft exhaust, KW v3 coilovers, and Vossen VSF-1 wheels, carbon fiber front splitter.

The first day I picked her up:

Great start, I like where this one is heading
That GT Haus exhaust, the VSF1s, and the Kw V3s are solid upgrades for sure!

I agree with Brad. Great start! Glad you were able to grab the ride you have been hoping for. Those Vossen wheels will do a lot for the exterior look of your ride. I'm a big fan of front splitters as well. Good luck with your build. Welcome to the site man!!

Full GTHAUS exhaust is the latest addition. I love the look of the split tips and the incredible sound of this exhaust. When I first put the exhaust on, I did the full exhaust and ART test pipes. The sound was completely earth shattering. After about a week or so I took the ART pipes off and now I am running the full GTHAUS exhaust, which is perfect.

Next items on the list are coils and wheels.

Gorgeous car! I think I saw you on the way to Ocean City last summer. Not sure if I was in my TL or S2K, but I had to speed up to see what it was.

I love my full GThaus, wouldn't be happy with any other exhaust. But I do wish it was a little deeper... Supposedly my M370 ported mani will deepen it a bit. I'm also planning on getting RHFC's later on that supposedly add some depth and lower the tone as well.

I can also vouch for KWv3's... Best quality could I've ever had. And Vossen quality is top notch. I just wish mine were a little lighter...

Looking good so far!

Update: 2/28/16

I added KW v3 coils and picked up a set of vossen vfs1s. Quick question for all you suspension experts, will the car be even lower once I add the 20 in vossens or the same. I haven't got tires yet, but I don't want the car to be any lower than it is (actually thinking of raising it a bit). What do you guys think?

Will depend on the tire profile. I'm guessing those are 20s so dropping the profile down a size will keep you around the same diameter...unless you change widths.
ie; OEM 245/40/19 rear, you could do 245/35/20 OR 275-285/30/20...will be around the same

Yea i am thinking 285/30 in the rear. As for the front, I am either doing 255/35 or 245/30/20.
